Tito POV

  Marley invited my over to her family's barbecue. Her family... they're cool people. Kind of rowdy but, they're cool. So we're here and she already warned me to be ready for a water fight so I of course, being the badass I am brought her and me super soakers. So we get there and I am all ready. I have water balloons and everything. I even brought Michael for back up.

  So Mar opens the gate for us and immediately I have a water balloons hurled at me by her younger brother. Little did he know that was a bad choice. Me and Michael charged towards them and it's on.

  Me, Michael, Mar's brothers (Zachary and Westley), and her sister (Kylah) are at war. Some of Marley's cousins join in as well (Leah, Kate, Donnie, and Jaiden). Jaiden is my boy so, of course he's on my team. We're running around for hours while Marley is helping her mom cook and everyone else is off, playing cards or something.

  Eventually I became victorious and we have to stop to eat. They pray over the food and we sit down to eat. Marley looked at me and laughed "I'm glad you get along well with them." I look at her and smiled "of course I do!" I kissed her cheek and hear fake gagging from across the table.

  When I look up, it's her little brother Zachary "Get a room!!" He chuckled. I shake my head "I don't think you want that, she's a screamer " I give him a smirk. Marley slapped my arm "Toriano!" She covered her face. Michael looked at us "Staying over at friends house tonight, good to know" he giggled.

  After we ate, we all decided to play soccer, Mar joining us this time. She was Captain of one team and I was Captain of the other. Which was probably a bad idea. We were flirting most of the game and uh while that may seem adorable, it did compromise the game a little. But yet and still, I was victorious, once again.

  A while after we all went to get dessert. I look Marley up and down, licking my lips "why eat banana pudding when I could just eat you up instead?" I wrap my arm around her waist and give her lots of short kisses all over her face, neck, and chest, nipping her skin along the way.

  Marley laughed and smiled "Tito stop!" She giggled and I look at her lovingly "right. Let's just sit and eat these lovely desserts. I'll save you for later~" I look at my banana pudding and start to eat. It was good! Not better than my mom's but, good.

  I look and Marley is sitting, eating strawberry shortcake. So I take my spoon and try some. Marley just looked at me and took some of my banana pudding. So I took more of the cake. And we end up eating most of each other's dessert. Marley looked at her plate and I looked at mines and we just started laughing. She looked at me and gasped "boy, come on! We gon' miss the fireworks!"

  She pulled me to the front yard and her uncle's were lighting up sparklers and fireworks. We sat on the steps with her mom and cousins. Michael was getting along with them well, it was nice to see. Speaking of Michael, he somehow has made his way into my lap. I mean, it's cool and all but, I just didn't notice.

  Marley leaned against me and we watched the fireworks in all sorts of colors. Michael looked at me "she's a keeper, Toriano." He nodded. I look at him and hum in agreement "definitely. But the family is a package deal. Do you like them?" I ask, curiously. Michael nodded "they're so cool. And they accepted me like one of them and, I barely know em'! Long story short, yes, they're all great." He smiled. We continue watching the fireworks.

  Later, we're in the house while all the grown folks are outside. We're playing hide and seek in the dark I'm hiding with Michael in the laundry room. I'm in the linen closet while Michael is in the dryer. I think Donnie is it but, I'm not sure.

  Anyways, I know that Kate, Jaiden, and Marley have been found. That leaves Zachary, Westley, Kylah, me, and Michael. I knew Kylah was in the cabinet next to me so, hopefully Don doesn't check in here. All I hear is "DAMNIT" and that's when I knew Westley had been found.

  I held in a laugh and waited for Zach to be found. But then someone came into the laundry room. Shit. First Kylah, then Michael, then- "Son of bitch!" I laughed and give Don man a fistbump "good game!" I smiled and picked Michael up "I'm surprised they haven't tired you out yet, little man!" I laughed. Michael looked at me "I think it's the strawberry soda 'little man' or... not really little man anymore" he frowned his face up "now put me down! I'm 11, not 9!" He crossed his arms. I looked down at him and sat him on the floor.

  Later, we were all outside, singing and laughing and hanging out. Marley was in my lap and Michael was running around with Zachary and Kylah. I look at Marley and kiss her gently "Tonight was fun and all but, it's almost midnight and we have to go."

  I give her and eskimo kiss and Marley pouted "can I come over? Today was super fun and I don't want it to end.." she gave him puppy eyes. I sigh "not tonight, aren't you going out of town tomorrow?" I give her a questioning look. She sighed "don't gooooo!" I smiled "I have tooooo"

  I look at her 'I'll come over as soon as you get back, okay?" I kissed her cheeks. Marley nodded and got off of me. I stood up and walked over to Michael "Hey dude, we gots ta go.. soon." I pick him up and throw him over my shoulder, knowing he would protest. Michael yawned "noooooo. Toriano put me down... 15 more minutes.." he looked at me and pouted "At least let me say goodbye!" He wiggled from my grasp, saying goodbye to everyone.

  I say all my goodbyes and me and Mike are walking out to my car. Marley stops me "You. I want a kiss goodbye anddd I want you to say bye to my mom!" She demanded. So I accepted obviously and gave her a short kiss. It would be longer but, her mom is like, right there.

  I look at Mrs. Brown and smiled politely "Apologies for skipping over you, there was a ton of people" the truth is I was absolutely terrified of her not liking me. She walked over and gave me a hug. "We'll see you when we get back, Tito. The family liked you so, be back soon." she smiled.

  I chuckled and nodded as I walked away "I'll see you later, Mrs.Brown. And I will see you sooner, Ms. Jackson!" I giggled and got in my car, driving home. I really do hope they have more barbecues this summer.
