School is... pretty much non-existent in my life right now. My teachers are really chill this year so they haven't given out much homework. It's been great. Except when there's not as much school there's more social stuff. More drama, more relationships, more parties. Just more high school stuff in general.

Since none of us ever have any homework, we're all hanging out together more. We go to the park, the beach, parties, and restaurants. I'm basically never at home anymore. Only problem is, all my friends? Are also Megumi's friends. So he's with us, all the time.

Now usually I wouldn't complain, because of course I want to spend the rest of my days with him, but he just makes me so nervous. He's really shy, and I'm really awkward, it's just a mess.

I'm also under the impression that he doesn't like me that much, because when I see him with our friends, he's all talkative and stuff, and then when I join the group he gets really quiet. Dead giveaway, I'm not his favorite person.

Today at lunch he was staring at me a lot. We always sit across from each other at our crowded table.

"So I was thinking 5 ish? What do you all think?" Nobara asked. Tonight was yet another bonfire, the third one this month. We all agreed on 5 except Megumi who was busy unconsciously making me squirm in my seat from his uncomfortable stare.

" Megumi'? You in?" Nobara asked again. He snapped out of his stare and half smiled, nodding towards her.

"Yea sure." He said, then he looked down and never looked back up at me again.

Later that day we all gathered up for the bonfire, taking three cars to fit us all. I was stuck in a car with Nobara and a bunch of Megumi''s friends. Well, I guess my friends too.

Without Megumi in the car I was completely relaxed. I had no worries, didn't need to watch what I say, what I do or how I look. The only thing I worried about was Nobara blabbing about the crush I just told her about.

Megumi and I all have the same friends. But the ones we were in the car with, were pretty much his two closest friends, and his best friend.

I offered to drive since the boys were all rowdy and Nobara was lazy. I looked over to see her staring at me, smiling mischievously.

"What?" I said, glaring at the road, knowing what she was about to do.

"Nothing..." She said, turning her head to face the road as well.

"Nobara I swear to god..."

"So boys, how's Megumi?" She asked. I mentally cursed myself for telling her anything.

"He's... good? Why?" They asked cautiously. Nobara shrugged.

"Oh nothing. I just heard someone likes him..." She said, turning her gaze back to me.

"I hate you. I really really hate you." I said.

"(y/n)??? Do you like Megumi??" Yuji said. I scoffed.

"No! Where'd you get that idea from?" I asked, unsuccessfully trying to get them to drop it.

"Nobara . She just said it. Then she looked at you. We're not dumb it was pretty easy to put two and two together." Panda said. I rolled my eyes as we pulled up to the beach parking lot. I parked the car, unbuckled the seat belt and turned around towards them.

"Alright, yes. I admit, I like him. Now if you could generously NOT tell Megumi, that would be great. He already hates me, I'm sure this would make him even more uncomfortable." I said, sighing and getting out of the car.
