I grunted in anger as I struggled to find inspiration for writing my book. writer's block, right now? what's even worse is that i'm just at the good part too, i thought i would fly past this.

whatever, it's lunch anyways. I might as well grab some food and hopefully muster up enough inspiration to get me through today. I quickly shut off my computer and grabbed my coat, phone, keys and wallet. I don't plan to be out for too long.

I double checked the door was locked and left. whilst putting my coat on, i mentally prepared myself for the wave of cool breeze that would soon hit me.

As I left, I grimaced at the rain clouds up in the sky. it'll be pouring soon - i'll need to hurry.

I hastily walked to the local cafe and smiled at the owner. Claire was her name, she was nice. We've talked a few times, we have a lot in common.

I walked up to the counter and ordered a coffee and a scone. I then sat down at a small table in the corner, and waited.

As I waited, I slowly spaced out. I was daydreaming about the current scene i'm writing in my book, and pondering what to do next. a waiter placed down my coffee and a cookie, snapping me out of my thoughts. I thanked her gratefully and started eating.

I glanced across the shop and noticed this cool looking lanky guy ordering at the counter. He caught my eye. He had beautiful fluffy brown hair that escaped from her beanie. The boy also had these captivating amber eyes, they locked for a moment, before I turned away.

I focused on brainstorming ideas for my book whilst sipping my drink and occasionally taking a bite of my cookie. Once I had settled on an idea for my book, I then redirected my attention to finishing my food and drink.

I walked out of the cafe. As I stepped outside, I sighed to see it was tipping down. Well, here we go.

I stepped into the rain and started legging it to the office. it should take roughly 2 minutes, which means I won't get too soaked, right?

wrong.

I arrived 2 minutes later at the office, dripping like I just took a shower in all of my clothes. I didn't even want to imagine what I looked like - a wreck, probably.

I heard a chuckle from across the room. I looked up to see Yuji, the office owner.

"looks like somebody got soaked"

"shut up" i joked

I quickly pushed stray hair out of my face.

"how are you doing?" i asked

"pretty good. Last night (r/n) said her first word. it was mama."

"aww that's so cute! I hope I can see her again soon. I haven't seen her since she was a newborn." i beamed

"yeah we'll have to arrange that. Anyways, I'll let you get back to work - I know how busy you are!"

"alright, talk later?"

"sure" Yuji replied

Just as I was about to leave, Yuji quickly called out to me.

"Wait before you leave, you know that girl in the office next to you? I think she's called Nobara Kugisaki

."

"yeah, what about her?"

"Oh well, yesterday she came up to me and said 'do you know that cute girl next to my office?'. I told her your name, and she just thanked me and walked off. It was an interesting exchange."
