Red boyfriend jeans, black cropped cardigan, hoop earrings and a custom Gemini zodiac necklace got Ivory ready for school."Morning mum." Ivory yelled as she skipped down the stairs.
"Morning Ivory, guess who's here?" she already knew who it was and didn't have to bother guessing.
"Hey Mason."
"Looking cute as always." he smiled and sat on the bar stool while helping himself to a plate of avocado and tomato salad served by Ivory's mum, Gold Johnson.
"Didn't you have breakfast already?"
"I ate little, Qiana thought it would be a good idea to eat everything cause she's going off to college today."
"What about Edmund?"
"Mum saved his share and left mine to Qiana. It's her luck dad drove her off to college before I came down."
Ivory snickered
"Is Ambrose here?" she shook her head "He should be in college checking in right about..." She paused to look at her Apple watch series 5 "Now...dad should have dropped him off by now."
"Good. The annoying older ones are out but you know I'd trade Qiana for Ambrose."
"She's not that bad Mason."
"That's cause you're both girls. You see nothing wrong, gender inequality or should I call it feminist."
"Shut up."
She slid a glass of fat fruit yogurt to him and sat besides him.
"Thanks."
"You're welcome."
They ate in silence and left after Ivory kissed her mum goodbye. They got into his black Aston Martin 2017 vanquish and were on the road to Nirvana high.
"Coach said something about a new boy coming in today. He's joining the soccer team."
"A new addition to your club."
"I'm proud there's another one." She raised a brow "He plans to make me the new captain after the present one graduates."
She squealed in excitement
"That's amazing. Have you told anyone else yet?"
"No, not even the guys. You're the first to know. You've always supported me, you're there for practice, tutoring and then the match."
"I'm so touched, it's an honour and what a sweet speech you just made."
He laughed
"You shouldn't be and if you're not fully convinced, I would spoil your space buns with no remorse." He reached out for her hair but she slapped his hand away just in time.
"I'd tell my family during dinner tonight to be on the safe side, I won't tell them that I told you first though, they don't need to know that."
"They'll probably figure it out themselves. I was the first person you told when you got into the soccer team, remember?"
He nodded
"Cause you're my biggest supporter."
"I appreciate that and I want to get you something."
"Can I give a suggestion?"
She nodded
"Get me a ring."
She sat back and shook her head
"Preferably a Len turquoise gravel ring."
"I wish I could take my words back right now."
