"You're going out?"

She took in her mother's beaded trumpet cocktail dress.

"Your dad is taking me out."

"Oooh...you look amazing dad is so going to swoon over you, let me get a pic." She retrieved her phone and captured her mum's beautiful figure before coming closer for a couple of selfies.

"I'll send them to Ambrose." She heard the car honk outside and Gold hurriedly grabbed her purse.

"Have a nice time mum."

"I will, take care of yourself Ivy and if there's any problem don't hesitate to call us alright."

"I know mum."

Her parents were too romantic sometimes reminding her of Jamie and Zosia, the young lovers.

Dina and Caleb returned back and everything was going back to normal although it was a bit awkward for Mason.

To avoid him, she hung out with Fabian more which made Mason's blood boil. He in turn, got back with Skyler who didn't fail to show him off to make everybody in school jealous.

Skyler couldn't stop reminding everyone that her boyfriend was a star and famous player; the one and only Mason Dalton.

It got on Ivory's nerves but she had no right to be jealous because she was only his best friend, nothing more.

Ivory slapped her head as she reprimanded herself while doing her homework. She looked over to her ringing phone.

"Why did Zosia have to call now?" She mumbled and picked it up "What's up?"

"Nothing. I'm good...you?"

"I'm only thinking of a certain best friend who got kissed sometime back."

"Is that why you called? For goodness sakes that is so two weeks ago and I remember telling you that he was doing a dare."

"Still, he kissed you twice."

"It's still a dare and you could have asked me about that two weeks ago."

"You've not only avoided Mason but me too and if I remember correctly, you always run off like a crazed person at the sound of the closing bell."

"I'm listening to whatever you have to say now."

"Good...I've been close enough to both you and Mason for years now and I haven't seen you look at any other guy with as much love as you look at Mason and vice versa. You're so comfortable with him and you are happy too."

"What's the point?" She already knew where it was going to "You obviously like Mason."

"I don't." She argued and rolled her eyes "Yes you do. Okay try this, close your eyes and take deep breaths."

Ivory closed her eyes and did as she was told. The cheesecake she had five hours back must have left her stomach empty for it to grumble the way it did. "When did you become a therapist?"

"Just let this work."

"Okay Dr Zosia."

"What do you see?"

"Darkness obviously, my eyes are closed." She heard Zosia scoff "I need your imagination to work right now."

"Whatever."

"Let's say you're out on a date, who do you see as your partner?"

"I can't imagine being honest. The only guys in my life that I've been out with are my dad, Mason, Ambrose, some guys from the badminton and soccer club and Fabian. Is it working?"
