"I want an essay of what you love about living in Decatar to be submitted next class." Miss Benedicta looked down at her notes then returned her gaze to us with a slight smile on her face "Class dismissed."

Ivory reluctantly got up and went to the hall.

"Hey, how was class?" She turned to see the person talking "Oh Fabian, you're back...class was nice, yours?"

"Same here."

"How's your ankle, heard you sprained it three weeks ago during practice." They stopped at her locker "All good and ready to play."

"That's great to hear."

"Are you free after school?" She opened her jotter to check her schedule "No practice, so I'm free."

"How bout we go grab something."

She narrowed her eyes

"Did you suddenly come back lonely?"

He chuckled

"Impossible. It's just me being friendly. You can invite Mason and Zosia too."

"Nice bring someone from your side as well. Just so you know, there's a new guy."

"Who's better looking between the two of us?" She shook her head "I'm not answering that."

"I'm just kidding, I've heard about him. So are we meeting later or what?"

"Yes, we are."

"Great ...so later huh?"

"Later" 

He smiled and walked away

"Was that Fabian?" Ivory sighed "Do you need glasses now?"

"So it's him. How's he doing after that injury?"

"He's in better shape that's for sure."

"Cool. He better get himself in the game."

"Which reminds me, how was your little date?"

"It was wonderful. We grabbed some chicken fries and drove for a while, he said he likes me."

"That's not surprising so you two are a couple now?"

"We'll see how it goes but we're not...yet."

"That's good, Fabian invited us for a little get together after school. You and Mason are invited, you can bring Jamie too."

"Isn't that intruding on your date?"

"We both know Ivory hasn't been on a date and she enjoys keeping Mason wrapped around her fingers."

"What do you want Dixon?" Zosia asked with a cold voice "I was just stopping by Lloyd."

Skyler turned to Ivory

"You are the reason why Mason hasn't gone out with me yet."

"You've kissed him a couple of times, doesn't that count as something to you?"

"I'm just saying back off and leave him alone. If you want him then say it don't go around telling people that he's your best friend."

"That's cause he is Skyler... and unlike you I have somewhere to be at."

"Let's go Sia." she grabbed Zosia's hand and darted off

After school, Mason, Ivory, Jamie, Fabian and some guys from the school's soccer team went to Reiha's diner to relax, make you mine by PUBLIC played softly in the background.

Royce a guy from the football team brought a pack of corona extra and distributed it among them.

"Don't you dare drink too much remember you're driving me back home." Ivory warned Mason who was sitting opposite her.
