Time held me captive in the late hours of night
It stole My sleep and grace
Disguised my ugliness into pretty words
And hid my sorrow behind dark rings

Time consumed me in the late hours of morning
It blessed me with peace
Abundance of comfort I could never escape from
It painted a smile on my dreamy face, and gave me hope of a greater tommorrow

But Time also kept me prisoner in the late hours of midday
Time made me oblivious to Time.
Weeks went, months went
And I keep thinking it's been a day
Thinking I have all the time in the world
When in fact...I have non at all

Time kept me in the dark
It wrinkled my skin and emptied my heart
Waiting for the right moment, faded my ambition and faded me as well

Time could of warned me , it could of let me know.
That it was now or never
But it dragged me through years and years and then some more
Because it couldn't let me go.
