We weren't perfect
I wouldn't change a thing.
Actually, that's a lie
I undoubtedly would
I'd of looked at you more, when I had the chance
I'd speak up and be more bold
Actually that's also a lie
I'd of looked away
Before our eyes ever met
Before I dwelled on you for a second more
Before I ever told a soul about finding you.
I'd run the other way and chain my thoughts
I'd make sure not to look back, or walk towards you. I'd not waste another second letting down my barricades.
I'd lock the door, never let a thing past.
Not the way your eyes sparkle when telling a lie
Not even finding your name.
Not how your lips curl as you smile
It doesn't matter, it doesn't matter if we somehow felt the same.
