16. Before it kills me

Just like that
On a sudden whim
I decided to let you go
Have you gone yet?
Not quite
But on the verge, entirely.
The sudden realization
That my reality and yours aren't identical
My perception of you, can't hold you responsible
I can't hold you to blame.
Can't force a gun to your name.
May the weight lift from my chest
As my secret shall no longer burden me
My energy, claiming it back
Unto me.
I cut the ties, that have drained all that I am.
I can't let it go on any longer. This wasn't part of my plan.
Though I desire, I am human, too.
Though there isn't anyone else, I am broken, aren't you?
Perhaps one day, I'll seek the answers
Maybe one day, I wouldn't care to find them at all.
Oh, why you...why me.
Why didn't you want me.
Retiring the effort.
Forgiving myself and my heart.
It wants what it wants
And I can understand that you didn't want me from the start.
