One case. One victim. One jammed morning announcement. Two murder plans, occurring at exactly the same time. Two suspects, both incredibly unlikely to commit murder yet the only ones physically possible to do so, according to the evidence.

One class trial. Halfway over.

"Atua says that Kaito is the killer! He's acting really shifty, and he's sweating a lot! Atua says those are hallmarks of a liar!" Angie cried out, not seeming very sorry at the fact that she was pointing fingers at a good friend and incredibly positive classmate for murder.

But she sure was right about the fact that Kaito was looking rather <strike>shifty</strike> sick. His skin had taken on a rather blueish hue, and he was sweating a lot, even though the room was air conditioned."Momota, are you alright? Do you need to lie down or something?" Maki said with surprising gentleness, contrasting her usual aloof personality. Her Ultimate Child Caregiver talent must be shining through.

"You can't do that!" Monokuma argued. "All participants have to stay standing during the Class Trial, because my budget couldn't cover seats."

Kirumi furrowed her one visible brow. "You can afford flying podiums, but not chairs?"

"Yeah, well, flying podiums are cooler, and Monosuke wasn't here to help me manage my money before, so I made some bad choices!" Monokuma coughed into his fist. "This class trial is as corrupt as it is--there's only so much rule breaking I can tolerate! So stay standing or I'll bring out the exisals and start wrecking!"

Maki's glare looked like she was going to start a bit of wrecking herself, but Kaito's uncontrollable coughing stopped her. "It's fine, Maki Roll...it's just that the Luminary of the Stars with battle off a tiny cold like this pronto! So don't do anything rash, mkay?"

Maki's cheeks reddened. "Maki...roll? Are you stupid? W-Whatever. Let's just get this class trial over quickly,"

"Yeah, yeah, you can continue your creepy yandere love story later! Some of us have places to be, you know!" Kokichi catcalled.

Kaede figured that she had to move the conversation along before another murder occurred inside the trial room. Her hands were full enough as it was.

"Are we sure the murderer stood behind Miu and stabbed the card into her jugular? I'm no genius when it comes to the anatomy of the human neck, but I'm pretty sure that that's a fatal spot..." she said.

"One of 7, actually," Korekiyo intervened. "But in Iruma's case, the sharpened playing card was stabbed into her carotid artery, which is the most vulnerable pressure point, and attacking it is often called acupuncture's evil twin, the 'Death Touch', so to speak. She died instantly. As for where the killer was positioned, the only way that a normal person could cause so much damage is by holding her in a chokehold and slashing her neck horizontally," he made the slashing motion with his bandaged left hand, quickly moving it across his neck.

How did he know so much about murder, anyway? It didn't seem like a topic an anthropologist would pursue...whatever. Focus, Kaede!

"But standing behind Iruma and stabbing her would only leave two suspects, right?" Ryoma pointed his candy stick at Kaito and Gonta. "Maybe that would be true for normal people, but we're in a room full of Ultimates, people. Someone must have gotten some freaky ninja moves out and got that card stabbed in Iruma's neck."
