"Ah!" Kaede screamed, as she took in the horror show that was in front of her. Sure, Kokichi was a horrible, annoying, cringy person, but he didn't deserve this, right?
"Oh, yeah, that!" Monokuma turned around. "You noticed Kokichi's little amputation?"
"This is way past a little!" Kirumi argued.
"Yeah, well, the only resason he really struck him big was because he persuaded, scammed, and buttered up people! What else was I supposed to do! Well, I suppose I could have just put in a silencer or something, but I wanted my ole' bestie to really feel despair, geddit?"
Kokichi closed his mouth and frowned. It was clear that the loss of his tongue was affecting him greatly mentally.
"There's a couple of extra rules for you, too," Monokuma added. "Obviously, there are other forms of communication other than verbal, so I've put a ban on all sorts of communication! Sign language, charades, writing, morse code, ciphers....all banned! The penalty? I'll bring the exisals in!"
Well, there goes the loophole swirling around in Kaede's thoughts."But eating and swallowing without a tongue is dangerous and might be life-threatening," Shuichi muttered. "I read it in a book somewhere. What happens if Kokichi chokes on a sausage or something and dies?"
Kokichi clasped his hands over his mouth in shock."Well, I'll rule it as an accidental death if it isn't like someone shoved a sausage down his throat, so none of you have to worry! Of course, if you really do want to shove a sausage or something similar down Kokichi's throat, feel free to do so! He's so weak, anyone could do it!"
"What a horrible thing to say!" Gonta exclaimed.
"Well, this place isn't called a Killing Game of nothin'! Well, If I'm I'm lucky, those two bozos will get their big guns out pretty soon!"
Right. As much as Kaede loath to admit it, she couldn't see a way, not a single one, where they could all survive and for no more killings to happen. Monokuma had really hit a home run with this motive.
"What about Kiibo?" Gonta asked.
"Oh yeah, I shut him down," Monokuma added, in a sort of afterthought. " Even I, the god of this new world, can't make Kiibo human in the spur of the moment! Bears aren't limitless, y'know!"
"Of course we know," Kirumi stated. "So we'll defeat you eventually,"
Kaede was surprised at her classmate for being so calm, even in this perilous situation. As expected of the Ultimate Maid. Even with her talents being taken away from her, her normally calm and controlled personality remained unchanged.
"Well, try your best, but I'll bet my buttons to see all of you crying in the Class Trial room once more! Toodle-dip!"
The bears finally disappeared, leaving Kaede and the others powerless, talentless, and absolutely lost on what to do next.
Shuichi coughed into his fist. "I want to go visit my research lab now, if you don't mind," he said."I'll go with you," Kaede offered. "I want to see your lab too, and it's probably best for all of us to relax. Breathe a little,"
"I-I have to go to my lab," Kaede noticed the stutter. It was kind of cute, just so different from his normal speech pattern, which made him sound a lot older than 17.
Kirumi shook her head. "Don't even think about going off alone in that state,"
"I-I need to see if I'll be able to b-bring Sister back,"
"I'll come with you then,"
"R-Right," Kiyo nodded, like he was considering. "Having an assistant for the seance might h-help..."
