ATUA STUDENT COUNCIL - ATHENA STUDENT COUNCIL 0 - 1

We're coming for you, Angie Yonaga.

Kaede sprinted as fast as she could back to the Dining Hall, dragging the large Xbox along with her. The motive was finally theirs, but if they didn't return it before Angie came back from Himiko's magic show practice and realized the motive was missing, her wrath would come down to Tenko. She didn't want Tenko to get hurt. She was obviously disagreeable with the Atua Student Council, and protecting her was like protecting a member of the Athena Student Council. She didn't want anyone to get hurt.

When she reached her destination, a scene very different from what she was expecting unfolded in front of her. Kirumi was pacing around with a look of utter confusion on her face, Shuichi was freaking out, and Kiyo looked on about the verge of a mental breakdown."I got the Xbox," Kaede announced. "What's going on? Where's Maki?"Kirumi turned in her direction."We have a problem," she said in a low voice. "Kaito is missing,"

"Kaito's missing?"

"When I went to go check on him as you requested, I found his bed empty. I came back and told everyone else, and Maki went to go see for herself. They've been missing for over 35 minutes now," she checked her watch and sighed."Well, we don't have time for that, Kaede placed the Xbox down on the table, until she noticed the flashback light lying next to it, forgotten. Whatever.

"We need to play this and understand what Angie was talking about. Tenko is on our side--she got me this. But if Angie realizes this is gone, she's gonna be all over us."

"She pressed the green "ON" button, and the screen lit up. It read: "THE KKK GAME" in a sickly pink, surrounded by pictures of skulls. The background was a picture of Monokuma's face, with his nose being the:"PLAY" button. Shuichi grabbed the controller and immediately pressed the button, leading to a settings menu. There were 3 levels, with stars indicating varying levels of difficulty.

The first one was labeled KILLER TENNIS and adorned with a red cross, probably indicating that the killer bearing that title was dead. Ryoma Hoshi, the Ultimate Tennis Pro. Seeing it made Kaede feel another pang of silent guilt and sadness for his fate. The next button was not crossed out, showing that the person bearing the name was still alive. The Ultimate Assasin. Was this really Maki? Kaede wished Angie hadn't spoiled the ending of the game.

Neither less, Shuichi pressed the PLAY button and went into a digital card with a paragraph explaining the game's controls. From what the explanation said, it seemed to just be a sort of rhythm game, with not much of a catch. Shuichi passed the controller to Kaede, since she had better hand reflexes, and she proceeded to play. It really was like a really hard rhythm game, having to jump and swerve and jump higher and collect the Monotokens(as the tiny gold coins in the game were called), until Kaede got some sort of round gift box, which prompted her to read one of the Truth Bullets.

"The Orphanage", it was titled, and it showed a picture of a younger Maki, albeit still with her long pigtails, surrounded by annoying but cute children. " Maki's parents were gone before she could even remember. As a result, she was raised in an orphanage. She was made to help take care of the younger children at the orphanage because the older kids had to help take care of the younger ones. Even though children liked her, she did not like them back nearly as much and wasn't even particularly fond of taking care of them. Nevertheless, the children at the orphanage still adored Maki. Maki was close friends with a girl of her age. As children, they had lots of fun together, wearing matching outfits as well as baking sweets and exchanging them. They talked so late into the night that they would get in trouble. They often played House with the other kids, her playing as the mom while Maki was the dad. Maki considered the time with her the happiest part of her life and like a dream."
