"What the hell was THAT?!!" Kaito yelled, pointing at the screens placed around the trial room. They had gone completely blank and dark again, but the smell of smoke reached them even from there. "That's completely brutal!"

"That's what makes it an execution, stupid! It needs to be brutal! But that doesn't mean I want you suckers to STOP murdering, by the way. Keep the deaths coming! Raise the despair levels and suck the hope out of your lives!" Monokuma did his best attempt at a smile.

"YOU-MUST-GET-ALONG," Monodam added.

"No! We won't do that! The first part, I mean. Monodam is right. We have to get along. But we won't kill each other anymore!" Kaede said boldly, which took a lot of courage, with all the exisals surrounding them menacingly.

"Can we do all of that heroic talk after we get out of here, please?" Tenko tittered. "This place is giving me the creeps, and I'm tired,"

Slowly, the 12 remaining Ultimates walked towards the beckoning large elevator grates, and the large box begin to move, feeling a lot roomier with fewer people on it than on the previous descent. Kaede felt her eyes drooping as the soft yet consistent sounds of machinery moving rocked her to a dreamless sleep.

"Ahh!" she bolted upright to realize that she was sitting(originally lying) on her bed, in her room. She was still wearing her school uniform, so she must have unknowingly carried herself to her room and fallen asleep without her remembering. She glanced at the clock on her dresser. 7:50 am. So around 24 hours have already passed since Miu's untimely death. Shit.

She wondered whether or not the morning announcement would sound today, or if the Monokubs would stay true to their promise to Miu. Kaede didn't know that she was rather persuasive when she wanted to be. Just one of the thousands of things that she didn't know about the victims of the Killing Game.

She dragged herself out of her sheets and staggered towards the bathroom, wondering how many people would show up to breakfast that day. The Ultimates' resilience sort of surprised her the first time Rantaro and Tsumugi...left, but she felt like they wouldn't be so put together. Kiibo, for one. And maybe even Himiko. There were so many people so tightly knit together in this case. So many people were hurt by its outcome.

But people were hurt last time too, weren't there?her inner conscience muttered. After you were stupid enough to let that shotput ball roll in your friend's blood...after you were stupid enough to let the first mastermind get away...

"Shut up," she told herself.

"But I didn't say anything,"

Instinctively, Kaede glanced at the open door, where Maki was glaring stoically at her. God, why was her glare so scary? Her red eyes seemed to almost glow underneath her thick bangs, like some dark scary monster at the bottom of the sea was glaring at me underneath a rock. The only person whose glare was perhaps scarier than hers was Korekiyo, but that might have been just because Korekiyo as a person was scary. Perhaps it was a useful skill for a child caregiver, to keep the naughty kids in line.

"Sorry, I was just...talking to myself. I'm getting pretty stressed lately," she answered. "Did you need anything?"

"Yeah." she stepped in the room and grabbed Kaede's hand. "C'mon, it's an emergency."

The two of them walked towards the dining room, which was completely clean, with no sign that a body had been there just the night before. There was still a very noticeable change in the room, though. Two tables had been pushed apart, and people were glaring at each other from other sides of the room. On one side were Angie, Kokichi, Himiko, Tenko, Kiibo(who was wearing Miu's choker, as a sort of memoir), and Gonta. On the other side were Kaito, Shuichi, Kirumi, Korekiyo , all glaring pointedly at the other side. In the middle were the portraits of Rantaro, Ryoma and Miu, adorned with flowers.
