Meeting Again

CHAPTER 6

I met her again. I can't believe that the monkey girl is actually Devon Mcknight. I knew she looks familiar. So she's still staying in River Valley. I wonder if my friends are still there.

Now I just need to pretend that I don't remember her. I can't face her yet, after what I did to her when we were kids, she must've hated me for that.

I just need to ask William to borrow her. I need an excuse.

"You called?" William asked as he open the door of my office.

"Yeah, I need to talk to you about Devon." He raised his eyebrow after hearing her name.

"What are you scheming?" His eyes are suspicious.

"I need to borrow her once in a while, you know my 'community service'" I quoted in the air.

"Yeah, what about it?"

"You see, Devon is the owner of the school, so basically she is the one that will sign the papers to be released. So I need her to look after me while I'm there."

"What a coincidence." He laughed. "The girl who punched you twice, is actually the girl who can make your life easier or harder. Tsk tsk tsk."

"What's so funny about that? If I had known that, I should have shown her my sweet side." I smirked remembering the day that we met again.

"Well If I were you, I won't go easy on her. I guess it's fine with me, as long as your working." He gave emphasis on working.

I smiled, "Don't worry, she's under my control, thanks to you though."

"What do you mean?" He got confused.

"Oh nothing, just ignore it."

"But you take care of her, and 'don't hit on her'". My eyebrow rose.

"What do you mean by that?"

"Honestly, I like her." I saw a smile on his face, I know he's serious.

"Don't tell me your taste has changed." I tried to insult him. He looked at me.

"You just said the same thing as Amber did this morning."

"Amber came? What did you tell her to make her tell you that.?" I'm lost with words.

"She stormed in my office while I was talking to Devon, then she kissed me in front of her."

"Wow, that was nice." I said.

"Shut up, then I want to get rid of her, Devon was there stunned of what she saw then an idea just popped into my mind." He smirked, something is wrong with this guy. "I kissed her."

Did he just said that he kissed her?

"What?!" I almost shouted.

"Chill, Then I told Amber that were through, and that I have a new girlfriend and it's Devon." He told me excitedly.

"Wh-what did she say?" I said hoping that Devon punched him like what she did to me.

"She just stood there, she didn't even move." He laughed. "She's so cute." He said then looked at me. "So you better be careful with her." He pointed a finger on me.

I was speechless for a second then finally got the words back in my head. "Yeah, sure, I don't like monkey girls. They are not my type."

"You better be, I'll be going now." He left my office.

I am still thinking of what he just said. He kissed her? And she didn't even do anything? Maybe she liked him that much, and hates me because she punches when I kissed her.
