CHAPTER 9

*WILLIAM FOX*

I went to my car where I parked it with a big smile on my face. I had a great time being with her today, too bad I have to leave her like that. But her face stunned when I kiss her is priceless. She is so beautiful, even though she is wearing simple casual dress.

I went back to the office trying to fix some things that I didn't do because I chose to be with Devon today, when my phone rang. It's Brandon.

"Yeah?"

"I'm at home right now, where are they?" He said, asking for the whereabouts of his parents.

"They said their just stuck in traffic, maybe.." I stopped as he said,

"Oh it's alright there here. Oh by the way, where have you been? I've been calling you since this morning."

"Well I just...had a day off." I said smiling remembering her face.

"Wow, that's unusual, okay talk to you later." He hangs up.

Yep, it's unusual for me to take a day off, because between me and Brandon, I'm the workaholic one. Well I do sneak out once in a while for girls though, but not this time.

I can feel that she's different from the others. She's independent and knows exactly what she wants. That's one of the characteristics that will turn me on. I might be just imagining things though, I mean, I just met her two months ago. This time I will take it slow in knowing her.

Later that day, I went to Brandon's house to meet his parents. He asked my help for defence cause when they see his condition right now, there will be uproar.

I entered the house, maybe I'm too late, their already here. Scolding Brandon like a baby.

"What the heck happen to you." His dad said. He noticed that Brandon looked at my way. "Oh thank goodness you're here."

"Nice seeing you back here Jon." I said greeting him.

"What happen to him?" His pointing his finger to his son. Brandon on the other hand rolled his eyes.

"Well.." I really don't know what to say.

"I already told you dad, I fell from the tree." He said in his wheel chair.

"Don't you dare lie to my face. What did you do this time?" He's dad said in disbelief, he knows Brandon too much. He doesn't climb trees. I just chuckled at this situation. Jon knows that his son is in trouble again, well that was the thing that Brandon wants to hide from him.

"Why do I have to lie to you?" He tried to defend himself.

"Oh hi honey, want some cookies?" Claire asked, She doesn't even care to the arguments that was going on. "Don't mind them, let's go the kitchen and talk, I haven't seen you for a while now."

Claire has always been a mother to me. The Walters became friends with my parents when we were abroad and that's how I met Brandon. When my parents died, they took me into their family.

"So what's going on?" She asked as I pick one of her cookies.

"Nothing much." I said but I can't help but smile.

"Don't you dare lie to me William Fox." She glared at me teasingly. "I know there's going on with you, you're smiling like ear to ear."

"Well, since you said it that way, I met a girl."

"ohhh a girl, interesting." She said. "Who is she?"

"Well I will not let you meet her not until she becomes my girlfriend." I said smiling at her.
