Meeting Again

CHAPTER 27

Months have passed and finally I got released from the hospital. Many things happened, the criminals have been sentenced, it looks like they have been doing not just selling illegal drugs, but also murders and kidnapping.

My mom and dad stayed with me for a while in the house. William visits like ever weekend, sometimes to report to me what was happening with the company. Devon is always there, like every day, always worried.

She is still working with my company, but now she will start at the degree of education that she 'really' had. Her resume was discovered by William. She felt so bad about it.

*DEVON MCKNIGHT*

"I'm really sorry Will." I said begging for his forgiveness.

"I don't understand why you did that, and you never told me, we were like together for almost a year, yet you didn't even bother telling me that." Will said, I think he's really mad.

"I know, this is my entire fault, but things happened so fast that... I didn't think of it as much as important." I tried to reason out.

I know it was my entire fault for lying on my resume, but... it went out of my mind for all the things that happened.

"Not important? You lied to me."

I bit my lip, I feel so guilty. "What do I have to do to make it up for you?"

He looked at me raising an eyebrow. Then he smirked. I know something dirty is running in his mind right now.

"Fine! I will not fire you..." My eyes widen with a big smile.

"Really?"

"... but, you will be demoted." He said. My face fell off.

I thought about it for a while. Well I deserve it... I guess.

"You will start as an errand girl."

I raised my eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"It means what it means. You will do all the errands that I will tell you, plus you will have a date with me."

"What?!" What is he talking about?

"You have hurt me a lot..." he said casually. "... and it was my first heart break..." He looked at me, now I feel more guilt is flowing through my veins. "... So on this date you will pay for it." My mouth drop.

"Huh?" is all that I can say.

"Make sure that I will like it, or else, you will get fired." He said, but I can say that he is serious.

"Are you kidding me?"

"Do I look like I'm kidding to you?" he said with his head held up high.

I thought of it again. This is going to be crucial, like between life and death.

"So if I'm going to do it... you will forgive me?"

There was silence.

"yeah, I will." He said with a small smile on his lips.

"Ok, I will do my best to have your forgiveness!" I exclaimed. He chuckled.

"Ok then, I will expect the best."

I nodded with a big smile on my face. I left his office feeling of relief and sadness was in me. Relief because, at least William gave me a chance to say sorry to him, well in an expensive way though, but it's fine, cause he had been a good friend and 'boyfriend' to me when we were together. Sad because I feel so guilty that I lied to him.
