Meeting Again

CHAPTER 15

*DEVON MCKNIGHT*

William sends me home and ended our day seeled with a kiss. I blushed and bidden our goodbyes. I entered the house seeing the girls squealed as I walk towards them with red cheeks.  

"OMG!!" Pat said almost screaming.

I looked around, Brandon must have left. Well he must be, cause it's already past six pm.

"Is that a kiss that we just saw?" Edhen said, same reaction with Pat.

"Erm..yeah?" I said shyly.

"is it official?" Mizzy asked.

"aamm yeah."

"Wait! We need popcorns, and tell us all the details." Pat said. I rolled my eyes, but giggled with them.

I told them everything that happened today with my date with William. We did all the giggling and screaming when I told them the part where he knelt down and asked me to be his girlfriend.

"That is so romantic!" Mizzy exclaimed.

"Yeah, I thought that only happens in the movies, you are such one lucky bitch." Edhen said.

"I hope that Arthur does the same thing too. I'm so jealous." Pat said.

"I know right? It's still starting to sink in you know." I said honestly.

We all talked all night.

*BRANDON WALTER*

I went to the office feeling great, I mean after what happened with Devon, I feel so alive. She forgave me and I might get a chance to have her. I just have to talk to William about her.

"Good morning." William greeted me with a big smile on his face.

"GOOD MORNING to you. What happen, did you catch a big sexy chick last night?" I can't help but asked him.

He looked at me, now wearing his smirk. "Nope, better."

"What do you mean?"

"I had a date with Devon yesterday!" He exclaimed.

What? A date with Devon, yesterday? I was there yesterday. Does it mean that he....

"I called her yesterday morning and told her that I want to have a date with her." William said, I didn't finished my thought cause he confirmed what I was thinking. I was just shock to hear this things from him.

"And the most beautiful part is.." he continued, "I asked her to be my girlfriend!"

My mouth slightly opened. "Wh- what did she said?" I asked, hoping that Devon didn't choose him.

"She said yes! Brandon my dear friend can you believe it? She is now my girlfriend!" He said happily, to my face. I have to redeem myself, I have to control myself and don't act as what I feel right now.

"I'm ...I'm happy for you and all, but I think you're just going to dump her like any other girls you dated before."I said, I'm hoping that he would say 'yes I will dump her'. I don't like her to be dump, but for her to be able to be free from William, I will wish for it, call me selfish and all. That's what I feel right now.

"No I will not." He looked at me. "She's different from other girls that I've dated. She's unique adorable and sweet." He said seriously.

I faked a laugh. "Wow, William Fox changed he's view for a girl."

"I know, it's like I'm going to fall in love with her any day or minute from now."

I can't stand this conversation so I have to tell an excuse.

"Well good luck with that, I have to go, I still have to work on my community service." I pushed myself with my wheel chair.

"Okay bye."

I travelled all the way back to River Valley feeling so mad, ashamed,.. I don't know what I'm feeling right now, it's like all my emotions are mixed.

My driver pulled the car to the parking lot of the school. I saw Devon looking so normal yet beautiful. I can't help but feel a little awkward now that I know that she and William are together.

*DEVON MCKNIGHT*

"morning" I said when I saw Bandon came out from his car.  He just nodded.

"is there something wrong?" I said, he was okay yesterday.

"nothing." He said in monotone.

We didn't talk much the whole day while working. This is so not him. I kind of feel bored.

"What is wrong with you?" I can't help myself from asking. This is getting on my nerves.

"I told you. Nothing." He said, emotionlessly.

"There is."

"Just mind your own business." He said. My mouth dropped.

"Fine!" I lifted my hands in the air. Jerk!

The day went by, so boring and Brandon went up acting like a jerk again.

"Devon," Brandon pulled my hand. "I want to... I have a call from oversees and there's a problem that had happen to the other branch so I have to go there." He said.

"So? What does that have to do with me?" I asked.

"I'm going to be for a month or so..I don't know how long I'll be there."

"I'm still not getting it."

"I'll go straight to the point then, .." He sighed before continuing. "I would like to pay for the rest of the days that I can't be here anymore." He said.

"What, why I mean.."

"Look, I don't have time for this. Just tell Carmen how much you needed for the school." Then he turned away.

"Brandon wait! Why all of a sudden?" I asked.

"Sorry, I just can't waste my time here doing these things." he pushed my hand away, went inside his car and left me there confused.

Why is he back into being an arrogant jerk again??
