*BRANDON WALTER*

Now Devon is going to take care of me! Booyah! She's going to like me whether she likes it or not.

I'm waiting for her to arrive. I'm so bored here in the hospital. I heard a slight knock on the door, I closed my eyes hoping it's Devon, before I answered.

"Come in." Someone opened the door, it's her.

"How are you feeling? I brought fruits for you." She said, but someone is behind the door.

"Who is that?" I asked.

"Oh." She smiled. I got curious. "You can come in now." She said the other person. It's William! What in the world is he doing here?

"Hey, I heard that you got into an accident." He said.

"Why are you here?" I can't help but asked.

"Woah, is that the way you talk to a friend who is concerned about you, who even travelled early in the morning just to visit you." He said sarcastically. I saw Devon forcing not to laugh about he said. He's not even funny.

"I'm fine now, as you can see."

"Aw, don't be like that, William here is just concerned about you." Devon defended him.

"No he's not." I pouted, I'm can't believe that I'm acting like a kid in front of these people.

"You're so cruel Brandon." He said.

"Whatever." I looked at Devon, she is peeling an apple. "I want to eat that." I demanded. William sat on the chair near the TV.

"I know that's why I'm peeling it for you." She said not looking at me. She still remembers that I love apples.

"How did you know that I like apples?" Now I caught her full attention. William as well. She didn't answer.

"Yeah, how did you know?" Now William is asking.

"Ah, well I just..just a hunch. You know." She lied, then faked a smile at me and William. She's really not good at lying, even when we were kids. She sucked at it.

"Whatever." I just ignored her lie. At least she still remembers my favourite fruit.

Silence ruled over the room, it started to feel awkward. Especially now that William is here. I know his purpose of coming here. He used my condition to check on Devon.

I wished that instead of my leg, my arm got broken so that Devon will feed me. But no, She just put the apples in the table and went to where William and sat beside him. I lost my appetite.

"Why aren't you eating it?" She asked, breaking the silence that is slowly devouring us.

"I just lost my appetite." I said in monotone.

"Such a brat." I stared at her. And whose fault does she think it is. If she hasn't brought William, I would be enjoying eating it.

"I already talked to Mr. Chen about the project." I looked at William who's changing the topic. "He will still continue working with the company, but not with you." He said.

I rolled my eyes, the nerve of that Chen. "I don't like working with him either."

"And your dad called, they will come visit next week."

"What? Did you tell them what happened to me?"

William shook his head. "No, of course not."

I rested my head on the pillow. "Good." They can't see Devon, they will ruin everything. My act will be gone to waste.
