Barry and I spoke for hours. It felt like I hadn't been in a coma for 6 months. With a couple of make out's now and then. What? We had to make up for lost time...
Now we are off to the Flash and Bolt parade. It took a lot of convincing but Barry always gives in to me. I'm pretty excited since I don't deserve it since I didn't even see the singularity. But god bless Iris, she displayed me like a real hero in her article.
I quickly changed into my suit and Barry smirked. "what are you looking at?" I exclaimed, lifting my eyebrow.
"I've missed seeing you in your suit." He said, his eyes widening looking at me. A grin grew upon my lips as I stared into his eyes. He walked closer to me, leaving no space between us, and leaned down to my ear. "I think you'd look better in your birthday suit though."
That boy! He winked and laughed, and then sped off to the parade. "BARTHOLEMEW!" I rushed after him, with my face red as a damn tomato. The nerve of this child!
As we arrived, the audience was rammed. So many people cheering for The Flash. With all that's happened with Barry, I completely forgot that everyone thinks I'm in a coma. They probably aren't expecting me.
Full panic. I don't even know why. It's like some switch in my brain flicked and now I was terrified. This isn't like me.
I stopped and took a deep breath, everything will be fine. Just follow Barry's lead. I followed him up the stairs to where the mayor was standing and applause erupted, more than from when they saw Barry.
It was cause they'd seen me. A smile crept on my face and I waved at the crowd as Barry did. They chanted "Flash and Bolt" and you could just feel the excitement in the air. It was electrifying.
"The doors to Central City will forever be open for you, Flash and Bolt" The mayor said, passing the key to the city to Barry and me. We both nodded and looked at each other feeling content.
This moment felt incredible, being honoured for all the work we have put into helping this city. But of course, it was short-lived.
"AHHHH" we heard a woman shriek, so our heads quickly turned to spot what looked like a hot dog stand, coming straight at us and the mayor. We dashed him out of the way, leaving him by the police to keep him safe.
Barry checked if he was alright before we both went straight back into action. We both looked around, trying to spot the perpetrator of the incident that ruined our great moment, and then we spotted a guy in all black at the police line.
He even had like a creepy metal mask on, like you could try to be a little more inconspicuous.
"The man and women who saved Central City" The boring villain said as he approached the both of us."Hate to rain on your parade."
He followed by grabbing Barry by his suit and throwing him into one of the cop cars. It's not a battle without damaging private property, is it?
