Twenty six
Ellie wanted to keep her distance from Stacie but Stacie stuck to her like glue. Stacie didn't have the slightest idea what was going on with her best friend, she believed she was just going through a hard time maybe her family was stressing her out, with time she'd open up to her. They'd been friends for nine years after all.
In as much as she wanted to get mad at Ellie for keeping secrets from her she couldn't bring herself to keep her distance, to her Ellie was oxygen. Ellie was the moonlight, one that brightened her dark life. She didn't know when she had become so dependent on her, so that not seeing her for a full day straight could cause her to lose her appetite but somehow it happened. It wasn't until Ellie began acting weird did she notice just how dependent on her she had become, Ellie was her source of happiness.
They were currently sat in the cafeteria having lunch and Ellie seemed to be lost in her thoughts. It had been happening alot lately, although she didn't try to push Stacie away like she did before she always appeared lost and overly cautious.
Stacie had noticed that when she was not around, Ellie's smile was wider. Was she perhaps the reason for her best friend's unhappiness?
