"So how's you and Brent?"

At the mention of Brent Ellie's head snapped up and she came eye to eye with Nora.

"I heard you guys are a thing now." She further said, "Done it yet?" Curiosity washed over her face.

Ellie looked over at Stacie knowing very well she was the one who fed Nora with the information about she and Brent. Stacie avoided eyes contact confirming her suspicion.

She knew very well what Nora meant by 'it' the thought did not only make her skin crawl but fill her stomach with disgust. She couldn't imagine herself on a bed together with Brent doing 'it.'

"I've decided to break up." She announced.

"What!" Nora and Stacie screamed in unison, Stacie's voice louder than Nora's.

"Why?" Nora pouted.

"Because..." Because I'm in love with Stacie she wanted to say.

"Because I don't like him."

"I was rooting for you guys." Disappointment was evident in Stacie's tone. "Too bad." She shook her head.

"Ellie... " Nora started out, "Are you sure you're not les? I mean-"

"I'm not les." She denied strongly in a sharp tone.

There was an obvious change in her body language at the mention of the word les.

"I mean you didn't like Christian which is quite abnormal, Brent has been nothing but nice to you yet-"

"I'm not a fucking lesbian Nora! Jesus!" She stood up and slammed her hand on the table, causing Nora and Stacie to flinch also earning them a few stares from other tables.

"Calm down Ellie I-" Nora wanted to defend but Ellie was not done.

"You already made me do that stupid dare to prove something that is none of your business to begin with, which also got me in the mess I am right now with Brent and you still won't give it a rest?"

"I was obviously joking Ellie!"

"Well that's one stupid joke Nora."

"Calm down Ellie." Stacie tried to butt in but was cut off rudely by Ellie.

"You don't get to talk Stacie, you never for once defended me."

"What has gotten into you Ellie? You've been acting weird lately. If you didn't want to do it you could've just said so. And the lesbian thing was just a joke probably because you're the only one out of us who's never been in a relationship with a guy before. You also show little to no attraction to them it's only natural we think you're les."

Fuming, she walked over to where Stacie was sat opposite her and grabbed on to the collar of her shirt dragging her up, she looked directly into her eyes. The same eyes she'd been avoiding for days.

"Tell me Stacie, is lesbianism a crime?"
