04| Chapter Four
Her Family.....
"Hey mum I'm home" Ellie announced cheerily as she threw her bag on the couch.
"Welcome home El how was school?" Mrs Howard Ellie's mum asked coming out of the kitchen.
"The usual" Ellie replied dryly
"I hope you didn't skip classes" A thick voice asked from behind and Ellie turned back and saw her dad.
"Hey dad" Ellie greeted "I thought you were supposed to be at work"
"Yes but there's a program in church I can't afford to miss, neither can any of you" he said pointing to both she and her mother.
"Okay dad I'll go get dressed" Ellie turned for the stairs "what time is it?"
"Seven"
"See you at seven" and with that she dashed into her room.
Ellie's parents were real church go'ers especially Ellie's dad, he never missed a program in church and was one of the top most respected and influential people in church this made him and every other person have high expectations in Ellie, they expected her to be like her father when she grew up, get married have kids and then follow in his footsteps and Ellie couldn't tell if that was what she wanted or not but now was not the time to think about that, she had a program to prepare for even though she wanted to just lay on her bed and sleep, she couldn't. Her father and other people had high expectations in her and she couldn't let them down afterall.
