er happiness comes first.......

"Hey El what took you so long?" Stacie asked as Ellie took a seat beside her.

Ellie sighed "I was talking to someone" she replied

"Who?" Nora asked

"Uh Brent...." Ellie replied steadily

"Uh who's Brent?" Trisha asked

"You guys don't remember? Really?" Ellie asked in disbelief

"Nope" they all shook their head

"Its the guy you dared me to kiss the other day remember?"

"Oh the dumb kid who couldn't stop staring at you" Hailee chipped in

"Yea" Ellie nodded

"What did he want?" Nora asked attentively, it was obvious she was in full gossip mode

"He uh wanted to hang out this afternoon" she replied

"Wow! He did? What did you say? You said yes right?" Stacie's eye lit up as she heard the news.

Then Ellie looked up at Stacie, she hadn't really considered hanging out with Brent infact she planned not to show up she only told him that just to get him off her back but seeing the way Stacie reacted she could tell that Stacie would be very happy if she got together with Brent, its been all she's been praying for to see her happy in a relationship and with the way things were going right now Ellie didn't think she was in a place to choose, she was starting to develop weird feelings for Stacie and the only way she could get rid of them was by using Brent.

"Sure I said yes" she replied non-chalantly as if she didn't care.

"That's great news Ellie I really hope things will work out between the two of you" Stacie said

"Yea I hope so too" she lied

She really didn't want to have anything to do with Brent or another guy but if it meant seeing her bestfriend happy then she was ready to do it. Stacie's happiness was the most important thing to her right now and she would do anything to put a smile on her face.
