18| Chapter Eighteen
A distraction.....
Ellie and Stacie had departed ways as soon as they got to school because they didn't have most of their classes together and Ellie couldn't help but feel alone and miss Stacie, even though its been few minutes since she last saw her she couldn't help but long for her and wish she was by her side.
It was lunch time and Ellie headed to the cafeteria not wanting to spend another minute without seeing Stacie but stopped when she heard someone call her name.
"Oh hey Brent" she greeted turning back to look and Brent who was panting heavily
"I'm glad you remembered my name" he joked
"Why wouldn't I?" She smiled, she was surprisingly in a good mood today which was probably why she was talking to him on a normal day she would have shooed him off.
"I don't know" he shrugged "probably because I'm not someone worth remembering"
"Oh come on Brent don't be silly" she laughed
"I'm actually serious" he muttered "do you have plans after school?" He blurted out and Ellie stared at him in suprise, this boy really had balls he wasn't afraid of her or afraid to blurt out his thoughts and she liked that.
"No, not any I can think of" she said "why?"
"I would love to hang out with you" he said and Ellie raised her brows in amusement, he had balls she liked that.
"Sure Brent text me whenever you're ready" and with that she walked away smiling to herself. She just found a distraction from all the weird things that were going on in her life right now, the perfect distraction... Brent.
