*Christmas Eve 2024*
Colby arrived in Korea last week. He rented out an AirBnB so we can set up a Christmas tree and open presents like a traditional Christmas in America. The AirBnB Colby rented for the holidays is located in Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It's $34 per night. We'll be staying in this AirBnB from Christmas Eve until January 2, 2025, which just so happens to be Colby's 28th birthday. That's exciting. Colby and I arrive at our beautiful AirBnB in Mapo-gu on Christmas Eve. There's already a Christmas tree set up in the living room, next to the fireplace. Wow, this place is really nice.

Colby helps me with my suitcases and we store them in the bedroom.
"As our first Christmas together in Seoul, I want to take you to my favorite place out here." I said.
"Where is that, babe?" Colby asked.
"We're going to Nami Island. It's a romantic haven and perfect for us." I said.
"Nami Island? Where is that?" Colby asked.
"You'll see, let's go." I said.
"Oh, okay." Colby said.
Colby and I leave our AirBnB and head to Nami Island. We take a train from Mapo-gu Station to Gapyeong. From there, Colby and I take the bus the rest of the way to Nami Island.

Once we arrive at Nami Island, I take Colby around the island. There's even an ostrich here that is quite entertaining. We take a walk around the whole perimeter of Nami Island. The snow and frost make the trees look really pretty. I ask one of the people passing by if they can take pictures of Colby and I. They nod their head and happily take my phone from me. The girl takes many photos of Colby and I. The girl said her name is Hyunjin, and that she's also a huge fan of Colby. I had no idea Colby has fans in Korea. That's kinda crazy.
"Your videos help me learn English." Hyunjin said.
"Ah, well I'm glad I could help." Colby said with a smile.
"Thank you. Bye, bye." Hyunjin said, walking away.
"Oh, okay." I said, laughing.
"She was sweet." Colby said.
"Yeah, she was." I said, "Let's head back to Seoul. There's another place I want to bring you."
"Oh, okay." Colby said.

We head out from Nami Island, and head back to Seoul. Once arriving back in Seoul, I take Colby to one of my favorite cafés in Seoul. It's called Mouse Rabbit Cafe. It's located at: 1 Neungdong-ro 11-gil, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. This is a really cute cafe, and the perfect place to go during Christmas time. Colby and I walk into the cafe. I order a festive coffee; a chocolate peppermint coffee. Colby orders an iced cafe mocha. The barista asks if he wants whipped cream on top, and Colby said yes. I see Colby likes his coffee creamy, which is delicious. Once we've ordered our coffees, we sit at a table by the window. This cafe is famous for being owned by Super Junior's Yesung and his brother. That explains why their coffees are so delicious. Yesung is such a talented vocalist in the group. He also makes some amazing coffee.

Our coffees are brought to us by the barista who prepared our coffees. I take a sip of my coffee, then try a sip of Colby's coffee.
"Wow, this is so good." Colby said.
"Right! That's what I said when I first tried this cafe." I said.
"Korean coffee is on a whole 'nother level from American coffee." Colby said.
"They prepare coffee differently over here than in America." I said.
"I can taste it, yeah it's different." Colby said.
Once we finish drinking our coffees, I decided to order a strawberry waffle. It's super delicious. It comes served with fresh strawberries, whipped cream, and chocolate drizzle. It is such perfection. It is so damn delicious. Colby orders a camembert cheesecake. When Colby takes a bite of his cheesecake, his eyes go wide.
"Whoa, this is so good!" Colby exclaimed.
"I know right. Korea just has the best cafe food." I said.
"We should live here instead of Hawaii." Colby said.
"I agree." I said.
"Living here would be so much fun." Colby said.
"We'll see after I finish my semester abroad." I said.
"Oh, okay." Colby said.

Then, Colby and I leave the café and go back to our AirBnB. For the rest of the day, Colby and I cuddle on the couch, watching Netflix. I choose the Filipino movie Love Is Color Blind. It stars Belle Mariano, Donny Pangilian, Angelina Cruz, Jeremiah Lisbo, Reich Alim, Esnyr Ranollo, Arabella Davao, Donna Cariaga, John Lapus, Eula Valdez, Hyubs Arazcon, Ariel Rivera, and Ryan Bang. I first watched this movie 2 years ago, and I honestly loved it. It's the perfect amount of cheesy and comedic. The movie is around 2 hours long. While Colby and I are watching it together, he finds some parts absolutely hilarious.
"This movie is really cute." Colby said.
"Right." I said.
"You said your mom is Filipino right?" Colby asked.
"Yeah, you would love my mom. She's awesome, and really funny too." I said.
"Well, I can't wait to meet her then." Colby said.
"Well, you'll have a chance to meet my parents when I get back to America on June 24, 2025." I said.
"I'll be waiting for you in Hawaii, babe." Colby said, booping my nose.
"Stop, you're too cute." I said.
"I know." Colby giggles.
