The color theme for this wedding is blue and black. The bridesmaids are wearing beautiful blue dresses and the groomsmen are wearing dashing black suits. I am being given away by my father. At first, my dad wasn't too fond of Colby. One; Colby has a sleeve of tattoos. Two; Colby has a nose piercing. Three; Colby was just a random guy I met at a house party who I fell in love with. It took a long time before my dad finally accepted Colby as my fiancé, and as the one who I was going to marry. The pianist plays the instrumental to Eric Nam's song Good For You. Eric begins singing, as I make my entrance. Eric's live vocals are absolutely beautiful. It reminds me of when I had went to his concert way back in February of 2022.

I meet Colby under a floral decorated arch. I grab both his hands, and we're ready for the ceremony to begin. Eric's voice fades out as we begin the ceremony. For the wedding, we have brought in a pastor from my religion. We brought in a pastor from the Kapaa Seventh-Day Adventist Church. His name is Pastor Jaime Vargas. Pastor Jaime Vargas begins the ceremony with an opening prayer. While Colby isn't particularly religious, he allowed me to bring in a pastor from my religion. I appreciate him for allowing me to do that. Pastor Jaime opens with,
"Friends, we have come today in the presence of God and these witnesses at the invitation of Colby Brock and Raeshel Miller to share in the joy of their wedding. This outward celebration we shall see and hear is an expression of the inner love and devotion they have in their hearts. This beautiful, young couple had met at a house party. From there, it seems as though it was love at first sight. We are gathered here today to witness their joining in marriage."
Then, he continues with,
"Colby, will you have this woman to be your wife; to live together in the holy covenant of marriage? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, be faithful to her so long as you both shall live? If so, answer, 'I will.'"
"I will." Colby said.
"Raeshel, will you have this man to be your husband; to live together in the holy covenant of marriage? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, be faithful to him so long as you both shall live? If so, answer, 'I will.'" Pastor Jaime said.
"I will." I said.

Now, it's time for our marriage vows. Colby starts first. He takes a piece of notebook paper out of his suit jacket pocket and unfolds it. He clears his through comically.
"Raeshel, I promise to always love you and only you. I promise to bring you your favorite iced coffee in the morning. I promise to never leave your side. I promise to be the best father I can be to our son. I will always be with you and Jaspar. I love you so much, babe." Colby said.
"Love you, too. Colby, I promise to be more patient with you. I promise to be more understanding of you. I promise to no longer be jealous of the women in your life. I promise that I'll always love you and only you. I promise to never leave you. I promise to be the best mother to our son, Jaspar. I promise that I'll give you back rubs after your long trips from abroad." I said.
"May I have the rings?" Pastor Jaime asked.
Colby's little nephew, who is the son of Gage, brings the rings to us. Then, Pastor Jaime continues,
"Though small in size these rings are large in significance. Made of precious metal, they remind us that love is not cheap, nor common; indeed love is to be cherished."
"With this ring, I thee wed." Colby said, sliding the wedding ring on my finger.
"With this ring, I thee wed." I said, sliding his wedding ring on his finger.
"By the authority vested in me by the beautiful, tropical state of Hawaii, I now pronounce you husband and wife." Pastor Jaime said, "Let us pray. Dear Lord, thank You for bringing these two beautiful young people together. Thank you for watching over them throughout the entirety of their relationship. Please continue to watch over them as they begin a new chapter in their lives. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen."
"Amen." I said.
"Amen." Colby said.
The guests follow with an "Amen."
"Colby, you may kiss your bride." Pastor Jaime said.
Colby smiles from ear to ear. His dimples are truly my favorite. Then, he attacks me with his lips. This kiss is passionate and deep. Colby even dips me down romantically.

With that, Colby and I are officially married. We may have had Jaspar out of wedlock, but that is behind us now. Colby and I can now move on, get our own apartment together in Los Angeles and in Kauai. I will get a job in Los Angeles and Kauai to help support our family. Colby and I will alternate between the two cities depending on where Colby needs to be for his job. Ah, I couldn't be more happy than I am in this moment. I am married to the love of my life, we have a handsome son together. All that's left to do is have the reception party. So, let's party!
