Liz hasn't seen the boys in a week, and she's been hunting on her own. Henry's with Jody because wanted he to go in-person school and Jody was more than happy to take care of him. Meanwhile with the boys, Dean walks in the cabin and Sam says, "Hey." Dean says, "Hey." Sam looks at Dean and says, "You look like you've s-- Well, I was gonna say, "You look like you've seen a ghost," but you'd probably be stoked. Uh, you okay?" Dean says, "Yeah, I'm cool. What's up?" Sam says, "Well, this kid went missing from a preschool." Dean clears his throat and says, "That sucks. And?" Sam says, "And at the same time he vanished, a surprise tornado hit, lasted maybe 20 seconds, then, uh... shazam! Back to perfect weather." Dean says, "Hmm. And they pooh-ooh climate change." Sam chuckles and says, "Yeah. Well, similar wackiness has happened over the past few weeks in other places-- Uh, Tulsa, a bus driver vanishes and a river gets overrun with frogs. New Mexico-- A mailman disappears, the earth splits open." Dean says, "All right. So, uh, you thinking demons?" Sam says, "Yeah, possibly, but... I mean, this stiff was major. These folks have nothing in common-- No religious affiliations, different hometowns, all ages. Why would demons want them?" Dean says, "Why do demons want anything? Uh, so, we on this?" Sam says, "Yep. I'll call Liz." Dean slowly nods and Sam calls Liz and tells her what's going and Liz says she'll meet them.
Later, Liz meets up with the boys and they go speak with a witness. They knock on the door and hold up their FBI badges to the window and the woman cracks the door and Dean says, "Mrs. Hagar?" Mrs. Hagar says, "Mm-hmm." Dean says, "Agents Roth, Malloy, and Halen. We want to speak to you about Aaron Webber's abduction." Mrs. Hagar says, "Like I told the police, one minute I was taking Aaron to get cleaned up, and the next minute... I woke up in a park three blocks away." Sam says, "And you have no memory of what happened?" Mrs. Hagar says, "No. He was just gone." Dean says, "Can you think of any reason why somebody would want to harm him? Uh, any enemies?" Mrs. Hagar says, "Enemies? He's 5." Liz has a phone up to her ear and she whispers, "Exorcizamus te, omnix immundus spirtius..." Mrs. Hagar says, "Excuse me?" Dean says, "It's, uh, code for your own safety so that you can't reveal anything under enhanced interrogation. Now, when you woke up on the floor, were there any signs of struggle?" Mrs. Hagar shakes her head and says, "No." Liz says, "Smell like sulfur?" Mrs. Hagar says, "How did you know that?" Liz says, "Lucky guess. Thanks for your time." They walk away and Dean says, "No reaction to the exorcism." Sam says, "Yeah, not possessed at the moment. But I'm willing to bet a demon got ahold of Aaron Webber." Later, they go to a motel and Liz is trying to get her own room, but Sam won't allow it says that he can sleep on the couch. Liz sighs and agrees. Dean's the only one awake and looks to see Liz peacefully sleeping on the bed the other bed and he sighs missing her warmth against his body. Over the past week, Dean's been having trouble sleeping. He sleeps better when he has Liz in his arms. There's a thunderstorm outside and Dean looks out the window and he sees a flash of Castiel. Dean gets up and goes over the window to see nothing. Liz turns over in her sleep and sees Dean standing near the window and she softly says, "Dean? What's going on? Are you all right?" Dean looks at her and then back at the window and says, "I don't know. I just saw something." Liz softly says, "What did you see?" Dean says, "Cass." Liz gets up from the bed and says, "Cass? Where?" Dean says, "Right there. I saw him earlier on the road. I feel like I'm seeing him." Liz softly says, "That's not possible. You told me he didn't make it out, right?" Dean says, "I tried so damn hard to get us the hell out of there." Liz softly says, "I know you did." Dean says, "You know, I could have pulled him out. I just don't understand why he didn't try harder." Liz softly says, "Dean. You did everything you could." Dean looks at her and says, "Yeah, but why do I feel like crap?" Liz says, "Survivor's guilt?" Dean says, "Hmm." Liz softly says, "If you let it, this is gonna keep messing with you. You got to walk past it."
