Dean calls Crowley and he says, "You have less than one minute before a very dear, attractive, and slightly tipsy friend of yours snuffs it." Dean angrily says, "Call it off, Crowley." Crowley says, "Because?" Dean says, "Because it's over, you son of a bitch. We want a deal." Crowley says, "30 seconds." Dean says, "We stop the trials, and you stop the killing." Crowley says, "I want the demon tablet-- the whole demon tablet." Dean says, "Fine, but then the angel tablet comes to us." Crowley says, "On what grounds?" Dean says, "On the grounds that you're a douche bag and no douche bag should have that much power. Deal or not?" Crowley says, "First, I need to hear two little words-- I surrender." The boys then go meet Kevin near a billboard that has a devil on it. Dean says, "You hid the demon tablet underneath the devil? Seriously?" Kevin says, "What? I was delirious." Kevin puts the demon tablet back together and hands Sam the tablet and says, "You sure this is going to work?" Sam says, "What choice do we have?" Dean hands Kevin the directions to the bunker and says, "Here. These are coordinates to the bunker, Liz and Henry are there, so they know you're coming. Just lay low. Who knows? You'll be a mathlete again before you know it." As the boys walk away, Kevin says, "You guys? You're doing the right thing." The boys slowly nod, and they leave to go meet Crowley at a junk yard. Crowley appears and says, "Hello, boys. What's that old expression? Success has many fathers. Failure is a Winchester. Where's the stone?" Dean says, "You show us yours, and we'll show you ours." Crowley says, "Really, Dean? I'm trying to conduct a professional negotiation here, and you want to talk dangly bits? The stone." As Sam reaches into his jacket, Crowley says, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Slowly." Sam slowly takes out the demon tablet and Crowley says, "There she is." Sam puts the tablet back into his jacket and Crowley shows them the angel tablet under his coat. Dean says, "And the contract?" Crowley shows them the contract and its long scroll. Dean says, "Yeah, I'm sure there's no hidden agendas in there." Crowley says, "The highlights-- we swap tablets, you stand down from the trials forever." Sam says, "You stop killing everyone we've ever saved." Crowley says, "Agreed." Dean takes out a pen and goes to sign, but Crowley puts the contract away and says, "Unh-unh-unh. Nice try, squirrel. Moose is doing these trials. Moose signs." Dean says, "No, no, no. He's not signing anything until I read the fine print." Sam grabs the pen from Dean and says, "I can read it." Dean looks at Sam and says, "Hey, you wanted me here. I'm here. But I'll be damned if I'm going to let him screw us even more." Crowley says, "What's this? Trouble in paradise, boys?" Dean then reads the contract and he's about a foot away from Crowley and Crowley says, "You're going to move your lips the whole way up here, aren't you? You know why I always defeat you? It's your humanity. It's a built-in handicap. You always put emotion ahead of good, old-fashioned common sense. Let's have the big galoot sign it now, shall we?" Dean turns to face Sam and Sam walks up and nods his head at Dean. Dean slaps cuffs onto Crowley's wrist and the other cuff is on Dean's wrist. Crowley says, "Is this a joke?" Crowley drops the contract, and he says, "You realize all I have to do is..." Crowley snaps his finger and nothing happens. Dean smiles and says, "Unh-unh-unh. Demonic handcuffs, jackass. No flicking, no teleporting, no smoking out-- oh, and... no deal. Which pretty much means that you're our bitch." Crowley says, "Fine. You want to play chain gang? Let's." Crowley punches Dean in the face and Dean grunts. Crowley says, "You saddled yourself to the wrong bull, mate." Dean then punches Crowley in the face and Crowley grunts. Dean then takes the angel tablet from Crowley's coat and gives it to Sam. Dean grabs Crowley's collar and says, "I can do this all day, 'cause you know what? Damn, it feels good! But sooner or later, you're going to have to face it-- you're ours. Which means that your demon ass is going to be a mortal ass pretty damn quick." Crowley looks at Sam and says, "What's he mouthing on about?" Sam says, "You're the third trial, Crowley." Later, the boys arrive at an old church and spray a devil's trap on the floor and put a chair with Crowley there and put chains around his neck, wrists, and ankles. Crowley says, "You really think this is going to hold me, that you're going to cure me or whatever it is?" The boys walk out of the room and Dean looks at Sam and says, "How you feeling?" Sam says, "Honestly, for the first time in a long time, it feels like we're going to win. I'm good." Dean says, "All right, well, no dancing in the end zone until we're finished. What's the good father's playbook say now?" Sam says, "Well... Now that we got the consecrated ground, I just, uh I slip Crowley one dose of blood every hour for eight hours and seal the deal with a bloody-fist sandwich. That should do it." Dean says, "Your blood's supposed to be purified, isn't it? You ever, uh-- you ever done the "Forgive me, father" before?" Sam says, "Well, once, when we were kids. Which is why I have no clue what to say now." Dean says, "Well, I mean, I could give you suggestions if you want." Sam says, "O-Okay. Yeah, sure." Dean says, "All right. Well, I'm just spit-balling here, but if I were you, uh... Ruby, killing Lilith, letting Lucifer out, losing your soul, leaving Liz multiple times when she needed you, not looking for me when I went to Purgatory, for starters." Sam says, "Thanks." As Sam grabs the duffle and walks into the church, Dean says, "Or, hey, h-how about what you did to, uh, Penny Markle in the sixth grade? Why don't you lead with that?" Sam says, "Well, that was you." Dean says, "Carry on." Sam then walks into the church, walks to the confession box, and says, "Okay, um... if anybody's listening, here goes." After Sam's confession, Sam walks outside to see Castiel with Dean and he hears Dean say, "Look, Cass, that's well and good, okay, but you're asking me to leave Sam, and we've got Crowley in there tied and tressed. Now, if anybody needs a chaperone while doing the heavy lifting, it's Sam." Sam says, "You should go. Seriously." Dean says, "Oh, what, and leave you here with the King of Hell? Come on." Sam says, "I got this. And if you guys can lock the angels up, too... that's a good day." Dean says, "Look, I... I'm down with sending angels back to heaven, just 'cause they're dicks. But the demons? This is on us. Start the injections now. If I'm not back in eight hours, finish it, no questions, no hesitation." Sam says, "Yeah." Dean grabs the tablets and Castiel touches Dean and they disappear. Sam walks back into the church to start the first injection. Sam stabs the needle into his skin and walks over to Crowley." Crowley says, "You really think injecting me with human blood is going to make me human? Did you read that on the back of a cereal box?" Sam then injects Crowley in his neck, and he screams. Nothing quite happens yet, and Crowley smirks and says, "You're miles out of your league, moose. See you in an hour. Sam's arms glow read, and he grunts. An hour later, Sam injects his blood into Crowley's neck and Crowley bites Sam's arm. Sam screams and removes his arm from Crowley and says, "What the hell, Crowley?" Sam punches Crowley in the face and he says, "Biting?! Seriously?!" Sam leaves the room to go bandage his arm up. An hour later, it's the next injection and Crowley says, "How we doing, moose? Isn't it about time for the next love injection? Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes. Turn and face the strange. Ch-Ch-changes. Just gonna have to be a different man time may change me, but I can't trace--" Crowley gets cut off by the room shaking and the ground breaks the devil's trap. Crowley says, "Did you really think you could kidnap the King of Hell, and no one was going to notice, dumb nuts?!" The doors burst open and Abaddon walks in and says, "Hello, boys." Crowley says, "That's my line. Abaddon? They told me you were dead." Abaddon says, "So not." Crowley says, "And the rest of the cavalry?" Abaddon says, "Oh, no, it's just like, old, unkillable me." As Sam grabs his gun, Abaddon flicks Sam into the wall and he groans. Crowley says, "Brilliant. Why send in a few grunts when you can send in a knight? Say your prayers, Moose." Sam gets up and Abaddon flicks Sam out the window and he's knocked unconscious. A few moments later, Sam wakes up and goes back into the church to see Abaddon beating up Crowley. As Abaddon turns around, Sam splashes holy water on her and says, "I love the suit." Then Sam lights Abaddon on fire and she screams and leaves the meat suit and goes out the window. Sam then puts Crowley back into the chair and Crowley says, "You did good back there, moose. I'll deny if you ever quote me, but I'm a proud man. I'm proud of you." Sam says, "Thanks." Sam holds the spray can and Crowley says, "Hold on. Uh, w-what's that?" Sam says, "It's what it looks like." Sam then redo's the devil's trap and Crowley says, "Are you joking? I just saved your life." Sam laughs and says, "Seriously?" Crowley says, "Seriously? Me, seriously? We just shared a foxhole, you and I. We beat back the Tet offensive. outrun the-- the rape of the Nanking together! And still, you're gonna to me like this?!" Sam injects Crowley with the blood and Crowley screams, and he says, "'Band of Brothers'? "The Pacific"? None of this means anything to you? All those motels, you never once watched HBO, not once? "Girls"? You're my Marnie, Moose. A-and Hannah-- she just-- she needs to be loved. She deserves it. Don't we all-- you, me-- we deserve to me loved. I deserve to be loved! I just want to be loved." Sam looks confused at Crowley, and he says, "What?" Crowley says, "What?" An hour later, Sam injects his blood and Crowley says, "Would it be possible, Moose... I'd like... to ask you a-a favor, Sam. Earlier, when you were confessing back there... what did you say? I only ask because given my history... it raises the question... where do I start... to even look for forgiveness? I mean..." Sam holds the syringe and says, "How about we start with this?" Crowley tilts his neck and Sam injects Crowley and then says, "Exocrizamus te, omnis immundus spirtitus, hanc animam redintegra, lustra." Sam then cuts his palm and his hand along with his arms glow orange and as Sam place his hand to Crowley's mouth, Dean barges in and says, "Sammy, stop! Easy there, okay? Just take it easy. We got a slight change of plan." Sam says, "What? What's going on? Where's Cass?!" Dean says, "Metatron lied. You finish this trial, you're dead, Sam." Sam says, "So?" Dean was not expecting that response and Sam points to Crowley and says, "Look at him. Look at him! Look how close we are! Other people will die if I don't finish this!" Dean says, "Think about it. Think about what we know, huh? Pulling souls from hell, curing demons, hell, ganking a hellhound! We have enough knowledge on our side to turn the tide here. But I can't do it without you." Sam says, "You can barely do it with me. I mean, you think I screw up everything I try. You think I need a chaperone, remember?" Dean says, "Come on, man. That's not what I meant." Sam has tears in his eyes, and he says, "No, it's exactly what you meant. You want to know what I confessed in there? What my greatest sin was? It was how many times I let you and Liz down. I can't do that again." Dean says, "Sam--" Sam cuts Dean off and says, "What happens when you've decided I can't be trusted again? I mean, who are you gonna turn to next time instead of me? Another angel, another-- another vampire? Do you have any idea what it feels like to watch your brother just--" Dean cuts Sam off and says, "Hold on, hold on. You seriously think that? Because none of it-- none of it-- is true. Listen, man, I know we've had our disagreements, okay? Hell, I know I've said some junk that set you back on your heels. But, Sammy... come on. I killed Benny to save you. I'm willing to let this bastard and all the sons of bitches that killed mom walk because of you. Don't you dare think that there is anything, past or present, that I would put in front of you! It has never been like that, ever! I need you to see that. I'm begging you." Sam breathes heavily and says, "How do I stop?" Dean says, "Just let it go." Sam says, "I can't. It's in me, Dean. You don't know what this feels like." Dean wraps Sam's hand and says, "Hey, listen, we will figure it out, okay, just like we always do. Come on." Dean brings Sam into a hug and Dean continues to say, "Come on. Let it go, okay? Let it go, brother." Sam then looks at his arms to see that the glowing orange changes to a a glowing blue color and Sam says, "Hey, Dean." Sam shows Dean that his arms are glowing blue and that the blue color disappears. Dean says, "See?" Sam then cracks a smile and then he groans and falls to the ground and Dean picks Sam up and carries him. Dean says, "I got you, little brother. You're gonna be just fine." Dean lays Sam on the ground and he groans. Dean says, "Sam, Sam? Cass?! Castiel?! Where the hell are you? Sammy!" Sam starts gasping and Dean looks up in the sky to see angels are falling. Dean says, "No, Cass." Sam weakly says, "What's happening?" Dean says, "Angels. They're falling." A half hour earlier, Liz is in South Dakota at an old friend's house and Liz does the spell to save Sam, although it's more like she's transferring his pain into her. Liz groans feeling most of the pain that Sam felt when doing the trials. Liz uses so much power that she groans, and she looks down to see that her arms are glowing the same orange Sam had with his arms. The windows break and the power starts flickering and Liz can feel her eyes glowing and then all of a sudden there's a loud boom and Liz passes out from absorbing to much of Sam's pain and also using too much of her power.
