That was madness.

Maybe it's okay to see each other. Fine. But we keep on making this crazy contact and talk to each other whenever we go! And I will blame him for that!

Bumaba ako nang matapos ako magbihis. May hang-over pa ako pero gumaan na dahil sa hot bath. I wore my skirt uniform today. Madalas kasi ay naka-P.E ako. I don't like wearing black shoes. And ugly skirts.

Naupo ako sa hapag. My parents are already eating.

"You should diet, Nichoella."

My mouth hanged a bit. Did I gain weight? Or masama lang talaga ang bibig niya?

She wiped her mouth. Sumubo ako sa nakahain na sandwich.

"Do you have your practice today?"

"Meron."

"Cancel it. You're going somewhere."

Dad cleared his throat and slight shook his head. Hindi namin siya pinansin. Kumunot ang noo ko kay Mommy.

I sighed. "Can't wait for tomorrow, Mom?"

"Of course, not! It's a date, Nichoella. Plus, it's already settled," she said, proudly.

"I already talked to Jerson. I said that I'd have practice today."

"Nevermind that stupid Roxas boy." she smiled wickedly. "You're going out with a Carvajal."

It was a long moment of silence.

I chocked because of my sandwich. Inabutan kaagad ako ni Dad ng juice. Kinuha ko kaagad iyon.

"Don't be such a maarte, Nichoella. Rachel already agreed to this—"

"His mom?!" I exclaimed. "God, Mommy!"

"What is wrong with you? He's handsome, very tall, very manly, matalino at maganda ang pamilya. Sa iba ka na mag-inarte, h'wag rito!"

Oh, yeah?

"Paano kung ayaw ni Hugo? I'm not his type! What am I gonna do if he rejects me?" I gave my mother a lot of conclusions.

"Manners, ladies." Dad voiced. Kumalma ako at sumandal sa upuan.

Bakit ba ako magugulat? My mother is such a pakialamera. I couldn't take it this time.

"He will not reject you, hija. Kung may balak man siya, dapat matagal na siyang tumanggi. But he didn't." she sliced her pancake gently.

He didn't?

"What do you mean he didn't, Mommy? Is he aware that you're setting him up to me?"

"Of course, he is." tinignan niya ako ng masama. "Why are you reacting like that, anyway? You don't like him?"

"Mom!"

"What? You're lucky he is willing to date you. He's a Carvajal, Nichoella. Cindy's daughter cried because he rejected her. Kaya ikaw, don't you dare ditch him."

I looked at my father, asking for any help.

He shrugged. "It's just a date, hija. Get to know each other."

I gritted my teeth. "And then what? Pakakasalan ko iyon?"

"No, hija—"

"Bakit ayaw mo? Ikaw pa ang lugi?" my mother exclaimed.
