Nakaupo ako sa maliit na kahoy na upuan habang pinagmamasdan ko si Hugo. He was carrying a basket of smelly soil from the sack. Binubuhos niya iyon kung saan man. I don't really understand what he was doing.

Hubad ang itaas niya't itim ang gloves niya. I watched his lips closely. Nakaawang iyon habang humihinga ng medyo mabilis. He licked it and looked at me.
Natauhan ako.
"Naiinip ka na?" he went to me.
I watched him squat in front of me. He doesn't smell bad at all, that's surprising. Halos thirty minutes na siyang nagbubuhat doon. Kanina'y nagliliwaliw ako sa mga bulaklak. I plucked a lot, just for fun. Hinayaan naman niya ako.
When I got tired, I sat and just watched him. And also daydream about the kiss we had earlier.
Namula ang pisngi ko habang nakatingin kay Hugo.
Umiling ako. "No, not really."
Umatras siya. "Do I smell?"
"No, no!" umiling ako ng todo.
He stared at me and nodded. "I'm almost done. Can you wait? Do you want to go home?"
No. I could sit here all day, watching you.
"Sure..." ngumiti ako.
I bit my lips and watched him go back to his dirty work.
I couldn't help but to be confused about what we have between. I mean, okay, we hang out, we date, we kiss, we do everything... but that doesn't mean we have something in between, right?
Hindi ko alam. I am confused. I want to ask him but I just don't want it to turn out embarrassing. Because it is to me.
Hinatid ako sa bahay ni Hugo pagkatapos. My mother threw me a bunch of questions. Hindi ko iyon sinagot lahat pero mukha naman siyang kampante na sinabi kong magkasama kami ni Hugo.
"Where do you want to spend New Year's day, Nichoella?" Dad asked.
Tumaas ang kilay ko. "We'll stay here this Christmas?"
Tumango si Mommy. "Yes and supposedly om New year, too, but whatever."
Ngumuso ako. "I want to visit Lola this New Year. Rueda, Dad?"
Ngumiti si Daddy. "Is that okay, Carla?"
"Well, we can stay there for two or three days."
Ngumiwi ako.
"Why not for a week?"
"I have something settled. Isa pa, New year celebration is just a day. Bakit ka magtatagal ng isang linggo doon?"
Nagkatinginan kami ni Dad. Tipid siyang ngumiti sa akin. I just shook my head and continued eating.
Mom doesn't have a good connection with my father's family. For whatever the reason is, I know it's because of my mother's attitude.
It was a night when I decided to stalk Hugo since he was stalking me. Hindi ko alam kung bakit matagal ko itong hindi ginagawa.
His Instagram account is very silent. Wala siyang profile picture at wala ni isang post. He has tons of followers, iisa lang din ang fino-follow niya. Ako.
I was stalking the people following him. Bumungad kaagad ang pangalan ni Shantal. I knew it was her because of her very girlish profile picture. Pinindot ko iyon.
She posts a lot. Her coffee, her luxury bags, outfit of the day and everything. Maganda siya, infairness. Her hair is jet black and it has very big curls which complements her v-shaped face. Matangkad at morena. It suits her very much. Looking like one of the Victoria's secret models.
