Chapter 22: the breakdown

It had been a week since then. Still no word from (Y/n) she had kept showing karma physical affection but soon that stopped completely. Everyone was worried for her even Karasuma had tried to ask her. But why ask when they know she won't respond back. Today seemed like an irritating day for Terasaka as he kept shouting about everything or getting annoyed with the tiniest things. One of those things was (Y/n). He couldn't stand how she could just sit back and make people care for her. They had been classmates for almost a year but she can't tell them something a simple as her past? How bad can her past be anyways? Terasaka kept getting irritated until lunch when he just started shouting. "Oi (Y/n)! Can you quit acting like a child and just tell us what's up with you. Like I knew you wanted attention but this has gone far enough!" Everyone froze. Mainly because of the bloodlust now dripping from karma but no one had ever yelled at (Y/n). "I mean come on. How the hell can someone like you have a shit past. It doesn't make sense! So quit the act and tell us!" Karma went and grabbed his collar. "Why dont I send you to the hosp-." He was cut off by a loud bang. The chair that was connected to (Y/n) desk had been kicked off. (Y/n) stood a hand holding her head and the other holding her desk. "Will you all shut up? Your annoying voices are getting mixed up with the ones in my head I cant seem to think properly." The sweet voice the class angel once had was replaced with a sinister one. "(Y/-." Nagisa tried to speak but was cut off by (Y/n) throwing her desk at the window. "I said shut up!" She yelled. The teachers then ran into the class. "What happened?" They froze seeing (Y/n) who now held her head with both hands. "I'm done. I'm done with this stupid class. I'm done with this assassination! I'm done playing student!" She had ripped the patch on her left eye. "I'm not going to sit here all day while the man I want to kill the most in this world is out there just waiting to kill me. Shouldn't I be the one to make the first move." She laughed. "(Y/n) please." Karma tried to reach out for her but she smacked his hand. "Don't you dare touch me! I want nothing to do with this class or you." Karma eyes widened. "Oh don't seem so shocked now karma. I mean you didn't seem shocked when you kissed okuda at the fountain." Everyone gasped and karma opened his mouth to say something. (Y/n) started to laugh with tears starting to form in her eyes. "See. I'm not meant for this life. I was never meant to be happy and now I know why." She kept laughing until she stopped abruptly. "Im gonna kill Akio even if that means the end of me." (Y/n) stormed out. Karma was frozen shocked. (Y/n) had seen him kiss okuda. The mistake he made and thought would just be forgotten. But no it couldn't be forgotten and created a bigger mess. He went to run after her but was stopped like usual from Koro sensei. "Move! Im going after her and explain!" Karma shouted. "Explain what? That you cheated on her with okuda." Isogai spoke. Karma glared at him. "Oh? Look who decides to open their mouth." Isogai gulped. "I've always known you had a thing for (Y/n)." "That has nothing to do with this situation!" Isogai clenched his fist. "So what does someone like you have to say about this situation?" karmas tone was low. "I was the one who found her crying. Me and Maehara did. You don't even understand what you put her through!" Karma clenched his jaw. "I do understand cause I hurt myself too. I didn't mean to kiss okuda and I sure as hell didn't want (Y/n) to see!" "Then why didn't you say anything?" Isogai question made karma pause. Why didn't he tell her. Maybe it was because he wanted it to be like nothing ever happened. Because he didn't want to see (Y/n) how Isogai and Maehara did. "We should all speak about this when we are all back together as a class." Koro sensei said putting karma in his seat. "But first I think it's time we explain (Y/n)." Karasuma and Irina had froze. Koro sensei looked at them waiting for them to say something. Karasuma took in a deep breathe before finally speaking. "Your classmate (Y/n). Is the assassin known as the angel of hell." Everyone froze. That can't be true right. There sweet and innocent classmate was an assassin. "You all should've noticed it but had quickly denied it to yourself believing her act as the nice classmate." Nagisa stood up. His eyes wide and mouth open. The teachers noticed that nagisa was finally realizing it. "The delinquents. When they kidnapped her and we went to save her. She had already taken the main guy down. Karasuma sensei had barely started training us and if she was the innocent girl like she said she would've struggled against them. Then Takaoka quickly took notice of her and picked on her. She was only able to get away from him because of me. Then the assassins from the trip. They wanted her gone and poisoned her twice. Like Takaoka sensei said no normal person would've been able to handle two poisons. Then the reaper. He knew she would've tried to help us so he drugged her to get her out of the picture. When I was blacking out he called her angel." Everyone was in shock. Their classmate really was an assassin. "Then that means that-." Karasuma cut off nagisa with a nod. "(Y/n) is currently the 2nd best assassin in the world." Everyone gasped. "I think I should say now that the man that (Y/n) had taken down during the summer trip. He died on the way to the hospital." Again another freeze. Did she really just kill an innocent guy? Karma slammed his fist against his desk. "Quite lying. There's no way (Y/n) is capable of killing someone." He glared at all the teachers. "Wether you believe it or not it is true. And currently (Y/n) is at her lowest and we need to help her." Everyone looked down. "How can we find her?" They asked. "An assassin like her won't be easy to find. If she doesn't want to be found then she's lost forever." Ritsu had appeared on screen. "All data of her has been wiped clean from me. Even her phone has been deactivated." Karasuma then pulled out his phone and put it on speaker. "Hello?" It was (Y/n) aunt. "Sasha do you have any idea where (Y/n) could be when she's sad or angry." It was quiet for a second then she sighed. "Well it's no use trying to hide it since I'm assuming you all know. (Y/n) usually goes to her student hide outs but with everything happening she won't be there. She would've probably found a way out Japan by now but no. She's probably at her old home. That's since been abandoned." Then a location showed from ritsu. "You may find her there. But I'm not so sure she'll show herself anytime soon." Then the call ended. Everyone was ready to get back their classmate.

(Y/n) was a different story. She did feel lost. All she was doing was wandering around in the shadows knowing if she showed on surveillance cameras the class would be there in an instant. She kept thinking and thinking. Was it right to ditch everyone and shout at them? 'Of course it is. This is an assignment. You cared less about any of them in the beginning. Lovro sensei was right. You waited until you were close to everyone and now look at you. You're back to that lost 8 year old girl who did nothing when her twin brother killed her older brother. You're nothing anymore. You're completely worthless. But get rid of Akio then maybe we can have a chance at getting back into this. We don't need that stupid other voice. Just you and me.' Was she right? (Y/n) didn't know. But one thing she did know was she was gonna find Akio. Then a phone call interrupted her thoughts. "Hello?" "Ms. (Y/n)." It was hinata. "Oh hina I haven't heard from you in awhile." The other line went quiet. "We lost one." "Lost one what?" Hinata took a deep breathe before speaking. "We lost Lucy. She was killed during an assignment in America." (Y/n) looked down. "I understand." Then she hung up. She dropped to the ground again not knowing what to feel. Her student who was only 12 was dead. 'Lilly must be so devastated. So what? We already warned them the risk of being an assassin. She's dead so what? She died knowing that this is what happens when your not careful. Let Lilly show her sadness. That sadness will turn into anger and she'll become like us. I don't want her to become like me.'

It had been almost 3 days and e class still couldn't find (Y/n). They checked the location Sasha gave them but it was the opposite of what she said. The house wasn't abandoned and was owned by an old couple. They thought and thought. "Maybe we should ask her students?" Kayano suggested. Irina shook her head. "They were trained to be heartless and uncaring. If they see us in their hide out they won't hesitate." Then ritsu chimed in. "I think I know a way." An unknown lady to the class showed. "This is Hinata. No known last name but she was supposed to be one of (Y/n) student but had quit. However there have been rumors she still works for her." The students looked at each other. "So we just have to hope that the two are still in contact?" It was worth the risk so they suited up and tracked her down. All that went through karmas head was just hoping they found her before she did something stupid.
