Chapter 43

I was busy typing on my laptop while on the phone. After I made him sleep, I continue on working. There's something wrong with my company's money. It decreasing non-stop and we don't even know where it's going.

"Did you find something?" Tanong ko kay Charl.

Humikab siya at umiling. "I find this really boring."

Hindi ko siya pinansin.

I find this really weird, honestly. The time they want to talk to me and that moment my money decreasing is weird. And the way they asked me for a billion. It's as if they know that it's imposible for me to give them a billion.

It's a win-win situation for them but my wife turned the tables. They almost had their way. I was focusing on ending my communication with them that I agreed with anything. I'm being too fast again.

"You think, it's their doings?"

Nag-angat ako ng tingin kay Senon at kinuha ang inabot niyang kape.

The two of them has been in our condo to help. I can't leave Sebastian alone so when they told me they'll helped me. I told them to come here.

"There's a possibility. The timing is matching. There's no way in hell that it's a coincidence." I said and sipped on my coffee.

Napapikit ako ng mariin dahil sa pait ng kapeng gawa niya. Nang magmulat ako sinamaan ko siya ng tingin. Nasa kung saan naman ang tingin niya at parang nag-iisip ng malalim. Hindi ko nalang siya pinansin at pinagtyagaan ang kapeng gawa niya. 

"Who's with my son?" Tanong ko ng maalala.

"My wife. She likes being with him than me. I'm worried. She's pregnant and she doesn't want me around." He said with a sad face.

Napailing nalang ako.

I'm jealous. I want to see my son too. I haven't seen him up until now. What he looks like is still unknown to me. Although, they always said he looks like me. It's still hard to imagine unless I have seen it myself.

The silence broke when someone abruptly made a noise through the door. Charlito's even rushing out of the kitchen because of that. All we can hear is the heavy footsteps until we finally see the person who made the noise. It's Nef.

"I found out who did it. The man's named, Paolo. He's Leah's ex. I'm not sure yet if they team up or something. No one seen them together for a year now ever since they broke up." Aniya agad paglapit sa amin.

I shifted on my sit and focus on what he just said.

"So, she has nothing to do with this? I doubt it." Si Charlito at bumalik ulit sa kusina.

I agree with him. They're ex and the timing of my money decreasing and the time Leah wants to talk was the same. It's well plan. If you don't think about it that much, you won't notice it.

"And one more thing. You need to see this," aniya at inabot sa akin ang isang litrato.

It's a man. He's not familiar to me. I frowned before raising an eyebrow to Nef when I looked at him. He rolled his eyes and sit down on the couch in front of me.

"Who's this?" Tanong ko.

"Paolo the ex. Look at his picture carefully. You'll see what you missed."

I stared at the picture. There's nothing special on it. Even Senon and Charlito who just came out of the kitchen look at the picture. We can't find anything. Nefferi frustratedly curse us to death before he point out what's weird in the picture.

"Look at the eyes, you idiots. Why do I even bother to let you find it. Damn it."

Hindi ko siya pinansin at napatitig sa mata ng lalaki sa litrato.
