Chapter 45

It's been a week but MJ still woke up in the middle of the night crying. It's like he's having a nightmare. He'll be like that for five minutes then stop crying when he finally felt safe on his mama's arms. Sebastian's used to that but I am still having a hard time. My sleep really started at two and he'll burst out crying that time. I sighed.

"What do you want to eat?" Tanong ni Sebastian sa anak namin.

I'm carrying him while we're walking to the kitchen. He has the habit of eating after crying. So cute.

"Fries and pasta and meat, mama."

Sebastian chuckled, "I told you, it's fries, pasta and meat."

MJ nodded, "fries and pasta and meat."

"Well, nevermind. I'll cook it for you." Si Sebastian at hinalikan pa muna ang pisnge ng anak namin bago tuluyang nagluto.

I put him down and he ran to the livingroom immediately. I walked to Seb's direction and back hugged him. It's been awhile since we're this close. I felt him stiff for a second then back to what he's doing. We didn't talk. I never thought I'll be this contented on little things.

"Ah!"

Napabaling kaming dalawa sa sala kung nasaan ang anak namin. Agad kaming pumunta sa kanya at nakita siyang nakatayo sa harap ng TV.

"What's wrong, love?" Tanong ni Seb na agad lumapit sa anak. 

"That's not how I leave it last night, mama. It's facing different direction now." He said while pointing at his toy car.

Nagkatinginan kami pareho bago siya tumitig sa anak namin. He looked so serious and he doesn't seems like a kid who'll lie over that. Sebastian caress his hair making our son looked at him.

"Maybe, the wind? What do you think?"

MJ doesn't seem to believe that. They both stared at each other before MJ looked at his toy car again.

I sighed, "I opened the window last night."

They both looked at me. MJ stared at me before he slowly nodded making Sebastian sighed in relief. He isn't used lying but I am. I need to cover it up even though it's a lie. I don't want MJ to think further over that.

We watched him turned his toy car back to its usual position and started playing again like nothing happen. I didn't leave him alone after that even when Seb came back to the kitchen.

After we ate, he fell asleep again while we stayed awake talking about his toy car. We're like that until morning and the others came to visit us since it's Sunday.

"A ghost?" Tanong ni Charl.

I shooked my head. Although I believe in ghost, there's no way in hell that it's their doings.

"MJ never lied so i believed him. The question is, who the hell did that? And why a toy? It's like the one who did that is sending us a message. That he can get near us." Si Nef.

Charl snapped in the air, "right! He probably knew that a kid can noticed that."

"Not my boys," si Nef at napailing.

"Not mine either," natatawang sabi ni Charl. "Just yours," dagdag niya pa at tumingin sa akin.

"Mine's still in his mommy's tummy." Si Senon.

They started talking about their kids while my mind wondered somewhere far. I'm worried. If Charl's right, then someone can really entered our home. But who? Damn it. Hindi na kami nawalan ng problema. Pagka-ayos ng isa, meron na naman. Tangina! Hindi nako natutuwa.
