Trish's POV
We arrived back at the bunker. I do kind of miss the angel grace but I know Cas is just trying to help me. But oh my God I met God! That was strange. The good thing is though, Cas has his grace back.
We walked into the bunker. Sam was leaning on one of the desks thinking. I feel bad. He just doesn't know what to do anymore. He is stressed and depressed because of Dean. And I think I made it worse for him.
"Sammy?" I went over to him.
"Trish." He looked up at me. He stood up straight then gave me a hug. I know he is looking at Cas checking if I'm ok.
"Sam you want a beer?" Dean walked in. Sam stopped hugging me and Dean looked at me then at Cas. I looked at Cas and he seemed to be questioning something.
"Cas what is it?" I asked.
"Your mother is gone. Where did she go?" Cas walked up to Sam. Dean came over.
"Cas, can I speak with you somewhere else?" Dean asked then pulled Cas out of here.
"So how are you feeling?" Sam asked me.
"Fine. First when the grace was taken out of me I felt like I was about to die because I was technically still healing from the werewolf attack but I was healed." I told him.
"How did you get the grace removed so quickly?" He wondered.
"Um, God."
"What? He's on earth? As a human? Do you know the name of his vessel?" Sam asked.
"Yeah, I think? Cas said it. I think it was Chuck but I'm not-"
"Chuck? Really?" I can tell that Sam was laughing on the inside.
Then there was banging on the door. Sam took his gun out of his pocket and I pulled my blade out. He went up the steps to the door. Sam looked through the peep hole. He chuckled. He put his gun away and I put my blade away. He opened the door.
"Hey Charlie." Sam said then a red headed girl came in. They hugged.
"What up?" She was smiling. They came down the steps.
"Trish this is Charlie." They walked over to me.
"Hi Charlie." I grinned.
"Are you the one that Cas saved from hell?" She asked and I looked directly at Sam.
"She wanted to know how everything was going and I had to explain." Sam explained.
"I'm guessing that I shouldn't have brought that up?" She questioned.
"Charlie!" I turned around and Dean walked in with a big smile with Cas behind him.
"What's up bitches!" She walked over to Dean and gave him a hug. She went to Cas and gave him a hug.
"Hello Charlie." Cas said but he wasn't hugging back. He's not the biggest hugging kind of fan.
"So, this is great. Charlie is here. Trish is back to herself. And Cas has his mojo back. I'm gonna make myself a sandwich now. Anyone want one?" Dean asked. No one said a peep. Dean shrugged his shoulders then walked away.
"Oh Sam. I found it." Charlie said then went through her bag.
"Found what?" Cas asked.
"This." She put a box on the table.
"What is it?" I asked. She opened the box.
"The Book of the Damned." Cas said in a not very good tone.
"Yeah, but it is kinda hard to understand. It is gonna take forever to encrypt. Unless..." Charlie looked at Cas.
"I can't. This is the first time I've ever seen it and I rather not touch it." Cas said as Charlie pulled it out of the cloth.
"Ah." All the sudden I got a really bad headache.
"Trish are you ok?" Sam asked.
"Put the book away." I said.
"Charlie put the book away." Sam told her as I looked at the book. She quickly wrapped it back up and put it in the box. Then she closed it. My headache slowly faded away. I looked at Charlie then at Sam. Then I looked at Cas. He knew something was wrong and I know.
"We can't let Dean touch the book. We can't even let him look at it." I looked at Sam.
"What?!" Sam questioned.
"She's right Sam. But we need to burn it."
"Burn it?! So I looked for this for months and I come back and we need to burn it?" Charlie seemed a bit annoyed.
"Yes." Cas said.
"Cas, this book may have the answer to get rid of the mark on Dean." Sam was annoyed too.
"Guys, the only thing I have is angel blood in me and if I just get a bad headache from it, Dean's reaction may be a lot worse." I told them.
"We have a chance." Sam said and looked at me.
"We'll find another way." I told him face to face.
"There is no other way!" Sam said.
"There may but I would have to talk to someone." Cas said and we looked at him.
"Who?" Sam asked.
"Medatron." Cas responded.
"Did he write a tablet about how to remove it?" Sam asked.
"He might have. I'll do my best but you have to burn that book." Cas told us. Then Cas disappeared.
"You heard him." I told Sam and Charlie. She was putting the book back in her bag.
"Trish, we aren't burning that book." Sam said.
"What?! You never know what could happen. Dean could go haywire again. You never know what could happen to Dean." I said.
"I heard my name." Dean walked in with a sandwich.
"I'm gonna go see if there is a case for us." I looked at Sam and Charlie.
I walked away and into my room. I opened my laptop. I looked through news articles online to see if there was anything. Nothing near us so I searched country wide. The first one that came up was a case in New York. That's a long drive. I looked deeper into the case. It's at Plattsburgh State University. I was supposed to go to Plattsburgh for college. People disappearing late at night. Next day they are found dead on the border of Canada. This was just posted thirty minutes ago. I took my laptop and walked out to the main area.
"Guys I found a case I think." Charlie and Sam were talking and Dean was sitting down enjoying his sandwich.
"Awesome, talk to me." Dean said and I placed my laptop in front of him.
"Plattsburgh State University, people disappearing at night, next day found dead on the border of Canada." I told them and Sam and Charlie walked over.
"Alright, so road trip?" Dean looked at us.
"How about you and Trish go? I haven't been feeling alright and I rather not stay here by myself." Charlie said.
"I don't look old enough to be FBI." I said.
"I can handle it. But are you sure?" Dean wondered.
"Yeah. You two go ahead. Call me if you need any help." Sam told us.
"Alright, we'll leave tomorrow morning." Dean said. I slammed my laptop shut in front of Dean.
"If I still had the angel grace we could be there by now." I told them and grabbed my laptop.
I went to my room. I put my laptop on the desk. I grabbed my small bag where I put my guns. I started to check all my guns and make sure I have the bullets for them. Then I looked at my favorite gun. The Kel-Tec KSG. It's a shotgun. I went into the shooting range one day and saw it. I took a shot with it and now I fell in love with it. I checked to see if the barrel was clean. Then I checked to see if I have the shells. I put the shells in the bag. I looked at the gun.
"You really like the one don't you?" I turned around and Dean was smiling.
"Yeah." I nodded.
"What do you know about it?" He asked.
"Two-thousand-and-one model. Twelve GA. Fourteen plus one shell capacity. Tactical rail. Metal slash polymer. And pump action." Then I pumped it.
"Origin?" He asked.
"United States of America." I said.
"Alright then." He shrugged. It stayed quiet. I put the gun in the bag.
"Can we talk about-"
"No, not really. I rather not. Just drop it. You got loose then we recovered you. Later after that I made a dangerous decision and I let loose. Cas helped me back and that leaves us here. Just drop everything." I told him without even looking at him.
"Trish, when was the last time you ate?" Sam walked in.
"I don't remember. I know that it has been more then a day or two. Why though? It's not bothering me. I've been three days without eating before. I'm used to it." I told Sam.
"So you just haven't been hungry?" Sam questioned.
"Yeah, pretty much." I replied.
"Ok." Sam walked out.
"So you're not even hungry?" Dean questioned.
"Nope." I said.
"Not even for pie?!"
"Not even for pie." I responded then closed the bag.
"Something is wrong with you."
"Yeah well there is always something wrong around here isn't there?" I looked at him.
"You got a point." He pointed at me.
"Go get packed. I rather leave as early as possible." I told him.
"Alright." Dean left.
"Cas I'm really hoping you find Medatron soon because I can feel that no matter what we do Dean is still getting worse." I murmured. It's two in the morning and not surprised that I can't sleep. I haven't been able to sleep or at least sleep well since I was raised from hell. Right now I'm just in the main area sitting at a table and looking deeper into this case. I'm still questioning why are they found dead on the border of Canada? Some of the bodies are just a few miles from the campus but some of the bodies are found as far out as Buffalo. It's just confusing. Then there was a knock on the door. I grabbed my blade from the table and went to the door. I looked through the peep hole. What the hell? I opened the door.
"Cas, why'd you bring him here?" I asked. Cas had Medatron in cuffs. They walked in and went downstairs. I shut the door then went down, "Cas, why-"
"Don't worry. He doesn't have his grace. I took it from him. So he's human pretty much." Cas explained.
"Being human is pretty interesting actually. There are a lot of things that-"
"Nobody cares." Cas is just so done with him.
"Castiel, what have I ever done to you for you to do this to me?" Medatron asked innocently.
"Don't even get me started." Cas stared him down.
"Well where is his grace?" I asked.
"Here. You hold on to it."
Cas gave me a small closed bottle full of grace. I took it from him. I swear to God I'm addicted to it because just looking and holding it feels amazing and tempting.
"Can I talk to you?" Cas asked. I looked at him.
"Yeah." I nodded. Cas pulled Medatron over to a chair and made him sit.
"Stay, and don't say a word." Cas told him.
"But-"
"Not a word." Cas repeated. Medatron shrugged down in the chair. Cas pulled me down to the lower level.
"What?" I wondered.
"Can I trust you with this?"
"What do you mean? Of course you can."
"It's just that you froze when you first held Medatron's grace. Also, why are you awake? You also don't seem very tired. Trish, what's going on?" Cas wondered.
"I can handle holding the grace. I just haven't been sleeping well."
"For how long?"
"Since I was brought back."
"You have your soul so I don't understand."
"It's a fool's soul. If you had common sense then you would know." Medatron said.
"So I don't have a real soul?" I asked Cas.
"No, of course not." Medatron responded.
"I said not a word." Cas stared him down. He faced the other way.
"Well, maybe it's a good thing that I don't have a real soul."
"Why would you say that?" Cas wondered.
"Because I'm done feeling the pain and agony that I get everyday. Sam is distraught with everything and Dean-- just don't even get me started." I told him. Cas stayed quiet. He didn't know what to say.
"Just ugh, keep a hold on the grace."
"I know." I said.
"Do you have my back? Well that's what you would say."
"Yeah, of course. Why?" I wondered.
"Because Sam and Charlie never burned that book and they need to burn it. You need to burn it."
