Dean's POV

"It's been three days since Cas left to find Crowley and he hasn't even given us a call to see if he's close!" I'm aggravated.
"Dean it's Crowley. He probably knew that one of us was gonna come after him so he probably put angel-proofing around wherever he is." Sam told me.
"That's why we should've gone." I told him.
"No Dean. Cas was right." Sam said.
"I don't care. I'm still going." I turned around and started to head out.
Sam signed, "Dean wait."

We've been on the road for about an hour now and Sam has been doing research on his phone to possibly figure out where Crowley could be.
"Did you find anything yet?" I turned the music off.
"No. Crowley's really hidden this time."
"So what? He's in hell probably."
"Cas would've been able to get her there then." Sam has a point. Sam looked at me.
"It's gonna take a lot- Dean pull over!" Sam shouted and I skidded off to the side of the road. I put the car in park.
"What the hell!" I shouted. Sam got out of the car, "Sam!" I grabbed the keys and got out.
I started to go after Sam as he started to go through the woods. Now I know why he made me pull over. Cas was in the middle of the woods with an angel blade to his throat.
"Cas what are you doing?" I said calmly.
"I failed everyone. You guys, the angels, God. Even myself." Cas looked at me.
"What are you talking about? No you haven't." Sam said.
"There's another civil war up in heaven. I'm not sure where Trish is. I don't know how to help you guys anymore. Dean, I don't know who I am anymore. I'm not an angel." Cas said. He's talking suicidal. I walked over to him.
"Cas you didn't fail anyone. Yeah we all have bad times but you never fail. We can figure out heaven. We'll look more for Trish. You may say you've looked everywhere but Crowley may have angel-proofing surrounding Trish. Cas you've never really failed us. Yeah you've made some very stupid mistakes but you've saved Sam, Trish, and I countless times. Hell or not, you're there for us and we are there for you. Cas, you're family to me, to Sam, to Bobby, and I definitely know you are to Trish. It's never time to give up. Have we ever given up before? I don't think so. We aren't going to start now Cas. So give me the blade and let's just talk about what we are going to do." I put my hand out. He lowered the blade. He gently put it in my hand. I gave him a hug and for once he hugged me back.
"Thank you Dean." He whispered.
"We're always here for you buddy. Just never go down this road again. Don't go dark side."
"Castiel." We turned around. It was Chuck, well God.
"Father, what are you doing here?" Cas wondered.
"I cannot deal with heaven and I must not return until the Angels are amongst agreement. You need to lead." He said.
"You're asking me to be in charge of heaven. It's a civil war. They need someone stronger than me in charge."
"No Castiel. You need to lead. There is a reason why I keep you alive. For times like these. Every time I being you back, I make you stronger. Castiel, heaven needs you." He told him. Cas looked at Sam and I.
"I can't." Cas looked down.
"Why not?"
"I can't abandon my friends in their time of need. I need to help them first." Cas just said no to God for us. Holy crap.
"I understand you are looking for Trish. I can talk to Crowley and negotiate with him. With no price to all of you, as long as you lead heaven." He told us. Is He making a deal with Cas? Cas looked at me.
"I'll do it. But I need to see Trish first." Cas said.
"Done." Then he left.
"Cas what are you doing?" Sam asked.
"You guys need Trish. I can handle heaven. I hear both sides of the arguments and I can lead one side."
"If you need us for anything, call us." Sam said.
"Of course, and thank you again." Cas looked at both of us then back at me, "Dean, you're upset."
"You shouldn't have to do this. He the one that told you to stay here with us! Now he wants you back up there when he can't deal with his own problem! This isn't your problem to deal with!"
"If there is a problem in heaven then it's everyone's problem." He told me.
"It ain't mine and it ain't Sam's."
"I have brothers and sisters up there that are in danger."
"You're my brother too!" I shouted.
"Sam is you're brother. He's blood." Cas told me.
"Blood doesn't mean family! Anyone can be family. Bobby is family and so are you. If you leave us, only come back if you really need help."
"Dean." I turned around and Trish was behind me. Then she gave me a hug, "Cas." She gave him a hug, then she went over to Sam.
"I understand." Cas said quietly.
"Cas don't you dare." I told him.
"I'm sorry Dean." Then he was gone.
"Cas!" I shouted and looked up.
"Dean, where'd Cas go?" Trish asked. I didn't even look at her.
"Son of a bitch!" I yelled and ran my hands through my hair. I wanted to cry but I didn't.
"Dean, let's just go back to the bunker." Sam said.

We drove back to the bunker and Sam and Trish got out. Once they shut the car doors, I drove right off. I heard Sam shout my name but I wasn't turning back. I'm not gonna turn back. Not for awhile.
