Two weeks later...

Saige-

As I got ready Tye continued talking on the phone and I eventually zoned out.

"You sure you gonna be able to go back to school today ?" He asked before I looked at the screen

"Of course, I'm good." I said before continuing to brushing my hair into bun.

"I just wanted to make sure nothing was going to be awkward after what happened and I know grief can cause mis feelings-.."

"Tye nothing is awkward, it happened and I can't blame that on grief." I said before he nodded

"Well we'll talk later, enjoy your day." He told me

"You too." I said before we hung up

I grabbed my keys before going downstairs and I heard my daddy on the phone.

"I don't care what's going on, bring yo ass back down here before you end up getting hurt."

I shook my head before walking to my car and getting inside. I felt so confused because they were hiding something and it's obvious.. but to be honest I didn't even wen a know just get with everything on my plate.

I sat down at my desk looking through all of classes I needed In order to graduate, I missed about a month and a half of school so luckily a lot of assignments will be exempted, if I'll still be responsible for turning in certain projects and taking a a couple of
Tests.

As long as I end with at least a a 80 in all of
My classes I won't Have to take an exam and I'll be ready to graduate.

"You coming to the pep Rally?" Chris asked before I furrowed my eyebrows

"For what ?" I asked

"Last game before thanksgiving break, we had this same Fall pep rally last year." He said before I raised my eyebrows

"I don't do crowds... or people." I said before he laughed

"If you change your mind, feel free to sit with Ahmad , I know he's the same way sometimes." Chris said before I gave him a small smile

"Yes..no..?"

"I'll think about it." I said before he laughed

"You know what.." he started before getting up from his desk and taking my keys out the side of my bag causing me to look at him like he was crazy

"You deserve your first taste back." He said before I
smacked my teeth

"Now What if I can't and something comes up ?" I said

"Well then Come find me in the locker room or hit my phone." He told me before I rolled my eyes.

I continued texting while Janae went on and on and finally she threw a piece of bread at my head causing me to look up

"You and your brother been annoying me all day." I said before she laughed

"You'd so important that you can't listen to me rant about my sex life ?" She asked before I playfully gagged

"First of all, I'm texting Tye, second you better chill before you end up pregnant Nae." I said before she waved off

"I'm not that stupid." She said before I put my hands up in surrender

"Anywayss, tell me about Tye, I want all the tea." Nae said before I sighed
