Two days later...

Once we walked into the beach house we all looked around in awe. It was so pretty and it was the perfect size for all of us.

"Ok y'all's Aunty is the plug, I love this." Kayla spoke before Desmir put his arm around Janae.

"How come you didn't bring this up in the summer ?" Desmir asked

"She was still living in here and she's one of those aunties that want to do everythingg with you." Nae spoke before I laughed

After a moment of silence everybody sprinted upstairs to claim a room first and we all pushed each other like some big ass kids. She made it clear that there was only four bedrooms for about six of us. Janae and Desmir wanted to room together so that left a extra open.

Kayla, Ahmad, and Chris all claimed a room and I mugged Kayla before I looked at Chris.

"Don't be shy, room with Chris." Ahmad spoke before Chris hit his side.

"Or me, there's a twin bed but I mean.." kayla spoke before I waved it off

"Honestly I don't mind to grab the couch, I'm not that bougie." I said

"You sure, you can have the room if you want ?" Chris said before stepping out and I shook my head

"It's not really that serious, go ahead." I said before walking past him but he grabbed my arm before pulling me inside the room and he shut the door behind us.

"We good?" He asked before I raised my eyebrows

"Yea.. why wouldn't we be?" I asked

"You've been acting weird.. we haven't really been talking, you haven't said a word to me all day, and now you acting like us being in the same room is the worst idea." He said before I cleared my throat.

"I'm not, I just... I got a lot on my mind right now." I said before he tilted his head

"Then let me hear it." He said before sitting on the bed and I sighed before he pulled me in between his legs.

"Nae made it clear that she wouldn't be comfortable with... us, so I just had decidedly on keeping my distance." I said before he furrowed his eyebrows

"So you've been avoiding me so you won't catch anymore feelings ?" He asked before smiling and I crossed my arms

"Who said that there were any feelings ?" I asked he chuckled

"So I'm tripping and there's nothing at all ?" He asked

"I mean I wouldn't say nothing at all but-"

"Exactly, stop letting Nae make decisions for you , it's not her business so do you." He said before I rolled my eyes

"No offense, but if it came down to Nae or you I'd choose Nae, and I don't wanna loose my best friend over this, so In this case I'm not doing me." I said before stepping back and he laughed before nodding

"Ight I can respect that, just friends then." He said before extending his hand out and I looked at it before lightly laughing and shaking it.

"Just friends."

"So as friends we should be able to sleep in the same room together, you take the bed and I'll take the mini sofa over there." He said

"You sure?" I asked before he nodded

"Positive." He told me before I nodded

After a while we heard a knock on the door and Chris opened it to Kayla.
