1 month later- (Christmas Break)

Saige-

"Why did you decide to pack so last minute ??" Nae groaned

"I've been busy." I laughed before continuing to go through my clothes

Our trip to the cabin had officially left the group chat. Me, Nae, Chris, Ahmad, Kayla, Maya and Jamari were all going together as a small detox from everything. Jamari and Maya were coming from Greensboro and our Cabin was in Gatlinburg Tennessee.

I met Maya on campus, but Jamari was her best friend that we had room for since we excluded Desmir on this trip.

After a while my door opened to my daddy.

"I thought you said y'all had to be there before 12:00?" He asked and I looked at Nae

"The trip got delayed I don't know why, but we're getting ready to get on the road in a minute." I said before he squinted his eyes at me.

He thinks I'm going on an all girls school retreat for a scholarship.. for safety reasons I told Anthony where I was really going, but of course since the incident he hasn't really been going for things like he usually would have. I don't blame him for it, because honestly it's been a month and I'm still shaken up myself.

"Just be safe and let me know when you make it." He said before I nodded and zipped my suitcase

He came over before taking it downstairs and I sighed before looking at Nae.

"I feel bad.." I said

"This isn't the first time that you've lied to him stink." She lightly laughed before I rolled my eyes and we walked out the room.

"Alright I'll see you on Christmas Eve." He said before pulling me into a hug. Mani and Ant came outside also and I noticed Mani staring into my soul. I looked at Ant who was avoiding eye contact and I cleared my throat

"Bye be safe, I'll see y'all on Christmas Eve!" I rushed before hugging them both and me and Nae both rushed inside the car causing my daddy to furrow his eyebrows

Once Nae pulled off I shook my head

"I'm gonna beat Ant's ass, he definitely told Mani." I said

"Maybe he won't trip." Nae said

"He wouldn't, but once he puts two and two together and realizes that I'm gonna be alone with Chris for three days he'll be meeting us up there." I said before she laughed

"We'll worry about Mani later." She waved off before I sighed

"Nah but just be ready for that phone call in a minute." She said before she busted out laughing and I rolled my eyes at her

"The weather said it's suppose to be snowing for the first two days, so hopefully we don't get snowed in because I have a lot planned." Nae said before smiling

"Gatlinburg has a lot to do, I've been hearing about bears though, I heard that that they don't give a damn up there." I said before she laughed

I noticed her phone light up and it was a message from Ahmad.

"Ouu what are you and Ahmad texting about ?" I asked before she shook her head

"Nothing important, he's cool I guess." She said before I gave her a look and she laughed

"I'm chilling on relationships, Ahmad is just a friend." She shrugged

"Mhmmm." I said before she smacked her teeth
