Now the author was going to write a whole legal chapter here where we went all Ace Attorney, Legally Blonde or something but she like... doesn't want to so just like deal with it pls. Basically Otto gets it off pretty easily because I said so. He got 10 years with the possibility of parole and court-ordered therapy... Is that sounding legal enough? Yeah, it is, ok cool.

You picked up the phone and looked at Otto, the prison glass separating you two.

"Thank you for turning yourself in," you said.

"I had to do it... Thank you for the inhibitor chip." Otto said, you noticed dark circles under his eyes.

"...Are you doing ok?" you asked.

"I'm getting used to it all, Dr. Connors is in here... He's..." he struggled to find a word for it.

"A lizard?" you asked.

"Yes, a lizard... He keeps on trying to explain to me why everyone should become lizards..." he shuddered, you gave a small smile.

"He was about to turn everyone into lizards... Until Peter stopped him."

"Did you love him?" Otto asked.

"Yes, I love him, even though he's not with us anymore. It took me a while, but I deserved to be happy, but not a day has gone by where I didn't miss you, Otto..." you confessed.

"I'm sorry to hear that... I'm glad that you found love again, and I'm sorry that it was taken from you." Otto put his hand against the glass, you put your hand against it as well, and you sat with each other in silence.

"Hey! Aren't you Spiderman's wife? Hey! I'm talking to you!" an angry voice interrupted the tender moment, you looked up to see an angry man with some sort of contraption over his heart, you sighed and got up.

"I should-"

"Don't leave! Your husband's the reason I'm in here! Hey, look at me!" the man yelled, you head towards the door and left, and the man started banging on the glass, screaming profanities.

Where the hell are the guards? Otto asked, looking around.

"What a bitch!" The man spat, Otto raised an eyebrow.

"Don't call her that," he muttered, the man turned around.

"What did you say?" he snapped.

"I said, don't call her that." Otto stood up, glaring at him.

"Why the hell are you defending her? I saw what Spiderman did to you, as soon as I get out..." he gave a sinister smile, Otto resisted the urge to punch him... He couldn't though, he needed to get out of here as soon as possible, he needed to pick his battles.

"Well luckily, you won't be getting out for a while," Otto replied, the man glared as he swung at Otto, but he dodged out of the way, a smug smile on his face, the man swung again, but Otto dodged it again.

"How are you so fucking agile? You're ancient!" the man snapped.

"I'm only fifty!" Otto retorted.

"Shut the hell up!" the man swung again, Otto just continued dodging until some guards finally showed up and tackled the man to the ground.

"Come on Max..." the guard sighed.

"He attacked me first!" Max lied.

"No, he didn't." a prisoner said, the lady she was talking to on the other side nodded her agreement.

"...We'll keep note of this Octavius." the guard nodded at him as they dragged Max out of the visiting area, Otto sighed as he walked back to his cell, he and Curt were cellmates, it felt like college again, the only one missing was Norman... He missed him.

"I heard Max cursing out your name," Curt said, turning the page of a novel.

"What is that man in for?" Otto asked.

"He calls himself Electro . But Mr. Parker created a power dampening tool that prevents him from using his powers, they had a big fight a couple of years back." Curt looked up, his reptilian eyes sending shivers down Otto's spine. Otto sat down and sighed.

"I missed a lot..."

"You did... Were there any reptilian-like creatures in this Microverse?"

"I recall meeting one alien that shared similarities... yes."

"What were they like? Did they seem to be superior?" He asked.

"I-I'm not sure." Otto did not want to get pulled into one of these lizard rants again.

"I would have loved to meet one, you know my lifespan has doubled, do you know that? If everyone were-"
"You've explained this to me many, many times." Otto interrupted.

"And yet no one listens to me," Curt grumbled, he went back to reading. Otto sighed and took out a notebook, his therapist suggested journaling as a method to cope, he wasn't sure if it was going to work, but it was better than watching the wall for the next three hours. He clicked his pen and began writing.

You visited Otto once a week for the next year, the kids didn't want to join you... Except for Derek, Otto loved Derek, he said that Derek reminded him of himself. It was nice to see them talk together... And you fell in love with him again.

"...I think I love you," you confessed during a visit.

"...And how do you feel about that?" Otto asked.

"I don't know, I really don't. I told you that if you left, that would be it... But watching you change and become a better man it-I miss you." you confessed.

"I missed you too, I immediately regretted my decision y/n, I truly did," he confessed.

"...Do you think we can work again?" you asked.

"I think so. Doctor Slate told me that I may be up for parole in the next two years."

"Already? Otto that's great news!" You exclaimed.

The author knows that this is very unrealistic so like shut up pls let her be.

Otto put his hand to the glass, you did the same, like you've been doing every visit.

"I cannot wait to hold you in my arms again." Otto smiled, you smiled back.

You were both just two lovestruck idiots in a prison... How wholesome.
