Yet again, this entire microverse enigma force is very stupid and I have no idea why I even went with it... but I went with it so here we are. Y'all just sit back and enjoy the ride.
Otto looked at the group, who looked back at them... He just gave a thumbs up, hoping they would just kill him already. One of the humanoid creatures... they were insect-like started to click.
"They're-click-from the underground!" it said.
"You say everyone's from the underground." a blond woman muttered, polishing a sword, Otto started to step back."Ok, ok wait! I apologize for my companions... they can be a lot sometimes. We're here to help, ok?" Rann told him.
"Can you help me get back to Earth?" he asked.
"Which Earth are you talking about? There are millions of Earths." Rann asked.
"...my Earth?"
"Can you -click- at least -click- give us a universe number -click- ?" the bug asked.
"I don't know the universe number..." he admitted.
"Well, then it's going to take a while. For now, would you like to join us?" Rann offered.
"I mean I'm on the ship, aren't I?" Otto asked.
"...So that's a -click- yes?" the bug asked.
"...Yes. Who are you people?" he asked.
"You know me already, that's Mari," he pointed to the blond woman, who gave a nod in his direction, still focused on the sword. "Jentorra," he gestured to another blond woman, with green skin. She gave a small wave. "The robot's Carl... the grey silent one is Acroyear, and the bug... well he's named Bug."
Bug gave an enthusiastic wave, and Acroyear glared at him.
"What are those things attached to your body?" Jentorra asked, tilting her head.
"Oh, they're my um actuators, they're rebooting," he explained.
"And what do these actuators do?" Mari asked.
"They're like extra arms, they help me work."
"Can they fight?" Carl asked.
"They've had to, but that isn't their intention, I'm a scientist," Otto explained.
Rann scoffed. "A mad scientist at that."
"I don't like that term-"
"I don't like mad scientists... How can we know that you're not another Baron Karza?" he spat.
"Well for starters, I don't know who the hell this Baron Karza is, I just want to get back to my universe and forget this all happened," Otto admitted.
"Well, it's too late now. Was it worth it? Was it worth it giving up your life, your friends, your family... your love? Was it worth it so you could obtain the unattainable, to tell everyone that you've done it?" Acroyear asked.
"...That's very specific." Otto simply said.
"That's -click- the most I've ever -click- heard him -click- say to a -click- a stranger!" Bug exclaimed.
"Shut it Bug," Acroyear muttered.
"We've seen people like you come here time and time again," Rann explained.
"Have they ever come out?" Otto asked hopefully.
"I have no idea," Rann admitted.
Otto looked down and sighed. The actuators sprung to life and clicked ferociously. The crew jumped back and braced themselves, Otto sighed.
