It was a usual late Sunday night, the tree branches were scraping the windows, and Mitsuki felt the soft, smooth wind brush over her tear-stained face. After tossing and turning for what seemed like forever, she opened her eyes and immediately felt the bright light pierce through them. She looked out the window towards the rising sun, mocking her with its beauty. She closed her eyes shut again, hoping her body would relax and let her fall into a deep sleep, but it didn't work. It wasn't unusual to have a sleepless night, but tonight was different. Every position felt uncomfortable, and it was like an impossible mission to relax. Her heart was beating a million beats per minute, and she could feel the chills slowly creep down her spine as she thought of everything that happened the day before. Mitsuki looked over at her alarm clock, and it was 5 am; gosh, why did it seem like minutes since she got into bed?

Mitsuki got out of bed and walked to the kitchen. The hallway seemed emptier than it usually was, even though nothing had changed. Mitsuki longed for the warm embrace of her son, even though they fought and yelled a lot, she enjoyed the moments they spent together. She taught him how to cook and dress properly, she helped him up when he fell, it's part of the unconditional love a mother should have, but in the last couple years she's felt him slowly drifting away. She thought that sending him off to UA would help fix the problem, but she realized that it only sped the process up.

Mitsuki smiled to herself as she pulled out the rice and salmon. The first time Katsuki helped prepare the fish, he dropped it on the floor exclaiming it was slimy and gross and refused to touch or eat it, through careful persuasion though, Mitsuki was able to convince him that there was nothing wrong with it and the slime goes away once we cook it, and since then warm rice, salted salmon, miso soup and seaweed had been his favorite breakfast. Katsuki would make it anytime he was put in charge of breakfast, and was proud when he no longer needed his mother's help. Mitsuki hurriedly cleaned the kitchen and headed to the hospital.

"Last name?" The receptionist asked looking at her computer "

"Bakugo, Katsuki Bakugo " Mitsuki said running a hand threw her hair. She was nervous, for no reason

"Mitsuki," a timid voice came from behind, "Mitsuki, is that you?" Mitsuki turned around to find Inko Midoryia standing behind her looking tired and unkempt. She must've had a bad night too. Mitsuki smiled kindly and nodded to her before turning back to the receptionist

"Relationship"

"I'm his mother." She said

"Room 225"

"Thank you" Mitsuki said heading over to the elevators.

"Did they find Kacchan? Sorry, I mean Katsuki." Inko said, pressing the button and standing next to Mitsuki. Her blonde hair was messy and she looked tired. She wore grey sweatpants and a purple t-shirt, the same ones she wore yesterday when they met.

"Sort of," the elevator opened and they both stepped inside, "he fell into the lake behind our house," they stood in silence for a little staring at the floor. Both of them couldn't think of anything to say, " I'm sorry about what Katsuki did."

"Don't be," Inko said weakly smiling. The elevator door opened but neither of them got out until the doors began closing, "most of the damage was Izuku's own fault," she said sticking her hand in-between the doors, "he can't seek to figure out that if he uses more than 10% of his quirk, it rips his body part." Mitsuki watched as Inko quickly walked down the hallway to her son's room which was across the hall from Katsuki's, where a bunch of yelling was coming from.

A/N: sorry for how cringe this is
