Bakugo opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling? Where was he? This room seemed familiar, but from where? It was like some distant memory that was just outside of his grasp. He moved off the bed and slowly caressed the door knob before opening the door. Distant blurs of blonde and purple flashed through his mind, causing a slight headache. He knew the person, but once again couldn't remember who or from where. He ran his hands across the wall, tracing the cracks and creases. Everything going in and out of focus, as kids laughter and tress filled his line of vision. Determined to know who he was, where he was, and what these flashes of color were, he continued walking down the hallway, but the farther he got the worse his headache was, the more he lost focus and the slower things got. Blurs of grey were stuck in place, leading to the common room, where they gathered like ants to an ant hill around a figure lying on the floor. Bakugo walked passed them and kneeld down next to the figure. It was a young blonde male, no more than 16, half dead lying in a pool of vomit. His breathing was almost slower than the pace the grey blobs were moving. Then all at once it hit him. He was the one lying on the floor, this was his home, the unclear image of blonde and purple was his mother, the laughter and trees were memories of his childhood, days spent playing in the sun with his childhood friend. As he stood up everything became more clear, everything moved faster. Kirishima was there following behind the stretcher he was on. Bakugo stood in silence watching as a white light engulfed the room, killing all noise.
It was peaceful, quiet and calm. The only sound was the cry of seagulls and the crashing of waves on the empty beach. The sun was setting, painting the sky a multitude of pinks, purples and blues, making the clouds look like fire. Bakugo took a deep breath in, opened his eyes and followed the shoreline, smiling to himself and humming softly. He didn't really know where he was going, just that he needed to move forward. Eventually, after what seemed like hours, he came upon a closed door. The wind blew ever so slightly as he put his hand on the knob, urging him to press forward. Bakugo waved goodbye to the seagulls and the ocean and opened the door.
He looked down and noticed he was standing on clouds, the light grey ones you see just before a gentle shower. He slowly sat down and just watched, and listened as they let their burden go, as they lightly dumped gallons of rain on the busy citizens below, weeping at the fact that no one was there to appreciate it's beauty. He felt a strange connection to them, He understood their pain, he understood why the clouds wept, he wanted to tell them that he saw, that he cared, but no words came out when he opened his mouth. The clouds heard the unspoken thoughts and stopped their weeping, but only for a moment.
"Why are you weeping?" Bakugo thought, "i acknowledged you. I heard your pain and felt your sorrow." The wind blew in his hair , leaving behind a message from the clouds
"We weep not for ourselves, we weep for those down below who haven't been seen, who haven't been heard as we have. We weep for the ones suffering alone, the ones under constant pressure. We weep for those who feel they deserve the pain and suffering they endure, who hate themselves for the tormenting others. We weep for those who think the world would be better off without them, who think they don't have a place in this world. But overall we weep for you." With a shaky breath Bakugo whispered a thank you into the clouds before getting up and walking towards the next door, the words of the clouds swarming his thoughts.
"Why do you weep for me?" He thought looking down at the door knob waiting for an answer, but when none came he turned around only to be met with a black abyss. With a heavy heart he opened the last door, only to he met with the familiar sounds of beeping heart rate monitors and blinding ceiling lights.
