Percy
I exhale in relief, so does Annabeth.
We land in front of the Big House an hour after sunset, I instantly hop off of Blackjack, ignoring Annabeth's warnings as I stride towards the main entrance. I don't bother to knock, I push the door open, calling out for Chiron. "I have your stupid fox spirit, Chiron, come and get him."
A light turns on, I hear the sound of hooves on hardwood approaching me. "Percy?" Chiron emerges from a room, looking tired. "Where is it?"
"He?" I correct. "Where is he?"
Chiron looks confused for a second. "He?"
"He," I say, "is outside."
Chiron trots past me, walking outside. He sees Stiles, still on Blackjack's back. The boy is still paralyzed with kanima venom, his mouth taped. Chiron looks from him to me. "That is the nogitsune?" He asks.
I don't answer, letting him figure it out for himself. He will only know what I want him to.
"How did you get him?" Chiron asks, walking towards Stiles.
"His friends got him for me, I just took him." I explain. "They paralyzed him with kanima venom, and-" Chiron goes to take the tape off Stiles' mouth. "I wouldn't do that if I were you. It's on there for a reason." Stiles looks up at me with pleading eyes, I know the nogitsune is no longer inside him. But I can't have him telling Chiron that. "He likes to act, he'll pretend to be normal again, and then he'll stab you in the back." I think back to the incident at the animal clinic. He tricked us into thinking he was Stiles, but then he literally did stab Scott.
It occurs to me that I am doing the same thing he was.
Stiles and I, we are the same. He was possessed by the nogitsune, he listened to the spirits commands just as I am. He couldn't control his actions, I don't think he would ever hurt Scott, at least not in his right mind.
I would never bloodbend. And yet I have.
Chiron turns to me. "Good job Percy." He places his hand on my shoulder. "You did well, son." He goes to walk back inside, I'm about to ask him why he sent me to Beacon Hills with nothing, but Void stops me.
Get ready. He says in my mind.
What for?
As soon as I ask, a loud bang echoes out of the forest. Then another, like trees falling. Void chuckles softly. Chaos, Perseus Jackson, chaos has come again.
I watch as the cabin lights begin to turn on, the campers running out of their cabins to see what's going on. They're still in their pajamas, wielding greek swords and shields. It's a funny scene really, no one knows what the noise is, the confusion on their faces make it obvious.
I don't know what it is either. But Void seems to.
"What's going on?" Chiron says from behind me, looking out towards the source of the noise.
"I don't know, a monster maybe?" Annabeth pulls out her knife, getting ready.
"Percy, watch it." Chiron orders, grabbing his sword from inside and charging in the direction of the woods. Annabeth gives me a sympathetic look, she knows I don't like to just sit around doing nothing, but she too leaves me.
With no one around, I look at Stiles. He is on the breach of tears, his eyes wide. I sigh and tear the piece of tape from his mouth. "You're- you're-" He stutters, staring at me. "You're Percy Jackson."
"And you're Stiles Stilinski." I lean back on the building, crossing my arms. If they want me to stand he doing nothing, than that is what I will do.
"You- you kidnapped me."
I nod slowly. "That seems to be the case."
"I'm not-" he tries to find the words. "I'm not him anymore. If you're looking for him, you won't find him in me. I thought I would just let you know because I-" he rambles. I hold up my hand, stopping him.
"I know." I say, he opens his mouth to say something, then shuts it.
