Some weeks have passed since Shawn and I have made it official, and call me cheesy but I feel like I'm on cloud nine. I haven't been this happy with a man in a really long time. When we broke the news to our families both parts weren't surprised but definitely happy.
It's the afternoon and I'm at Shawn's house cleaning up a bit around the house, I have my headphones in listening to Whitney Houston. I cannot clean anything without listening to anything it's just something I've always done ever since I was a kid. As I'm wiping down the counter I feel a pair of hands wrap around my waist, I stopped and felt soft kisses trailing on my neck.
"Well good afternoon to you too." I Smiled
"Sorry for sleeping in, last night we got in so late." He kisses my cheek "..What are you doing?" Shawn Asks
"Cleaning up a little, your house no offense is a little messy." I Said
"When your on the road a lot, sometimes you forget to clean." Shawn Said
"Not Me." I Said
"Well that's because.." He picks me up and sets me on the counter "..you have someone living with you so the apartment is always cleaned." Shawn Said
"That doesn't mean anything Ryland isn't the type of person to clean everyday, she'll clean if the room or house is very very dirty." I Said
"Thank you." Shawn Said, then kisses me
"Mhm your welcome, hey we should do something today." I Said
"Oh I don't think I have it in me to leave the house today." Shawn Said
"Come on all we did was party with Scott and Kevin, and we didn't get in till three." I Said
"Sorry the guys challenged me to a shot contest." Shawn Said
"Which you could have simply said no to." I Said
"Yeah but I never pass up an opportunity." Shawn Said
"Yeah whatever I have an idea what we could do today, something that involves us leaving the house." I Said
"Nah I vote on sleeping." Shawn Said
"No we can sleep later sleepy head, how about we go to the carnival." I Said
"Hmm." Shawn Said
"Yeah we can go play some games besides it's November som of the fall decorations are still up, come on Shawn it'll be fun I loved carnival's it was something my friends and i did all the time in the 80's." I Said
"In the 80's my friends and I rarely went to carnivals." Shawn Said
"Yeah yeah I get it I was a kid and you were a teenager." I Said as he chuckled a bit
