~~~~~~LOKI~~~~~
They all slipped down the streets of Xesha. The girls changed their clothes by stealing outfits one of the street venders.
The night was alive in the city, beaming with salesman and the smells of food from the street stalls.
Nyx came up beside Loki, delicately pulling her iconic leather gloves from his pocket. He watched as she slid the pocket warmed gloves onto her delicate hands.
Now that they were across the border they had to reach the midland where the capital was and more importantly where the Grail was housed.
The trip was rather uneventful, it was a quick two-hour boat ride down the River flowing into the Capital.
The roaring city had quieted in the early morning. The sky still an inky abys as the world slept.
"So... what is the actual plan?" Nina asked.
"We need to get into the King's room." Loki said quietly as they watched the gates.
Their heads snapped to Loki as if she had finally gone mad. "You mean... The king who drank from the Holy Grail and is now invincible?... That king?" Finch asked sarcastically.
"When we are in, Nina is going to put him to sleep. Then the purpose for bringing you along, Princey." Loki said turning to Nyx.
"You are gonna use your Daemati powers to go into his head and find two key pieces of information. 1.) His weakness as determined when he drank from the grail. 2.) The grail is in a room guarded by a password, he changes it daily. You need to find out what the password is for today." As Loki finished a look of realization came over his face.
"That is why you wanted me to come? My powers?" He didn't know what he expected, but a part of him hoped she just wanted him there.
"Of course. Why else?" Loki said coldly turning her attention back to the palace.
It hurt her, the pain in his eyes when she said it. In truth, she would never bring him anywhere near danger unless necessary. She hated walking him into his enemy's territory.
She pulled out her watch, checking the time. They waited for her signal, but she refused to give it, not yet.
When four AM hit, all of the guards turned and marched inside in perfect unison.
Morning shift change.
Loki didn't say anything. She simply slipped the watch back into her pocket and casually walked through the front gates of the palace, completely unincombered.
"How does she do that?" Nina hissed following after her boss right through the front gates.
They followed Loki, but she did not walk in the front door, she turned and followed the wall of the building, slipping in a small window that peaked out from the basement.
They all slid in after her, dropping from the high window to scan their surroundings. The laundry room.
Loki carelessly threw maid uniforms at each of the members. She held no shame about taking off her stolen clothes in front of them, changing into the maids uniform.
Nyx sent a low growl at the gawking Finch, who quickly looked away from the seemingly spontaneous leader.
But she was not spontanious. She never left anything up to chance. Every move was meticulously planned to accommodate for a thousand things that could go wrong.
