Chapter 9: Coco's Friend

Annd, stream's over. It's two in the morning right, usually I'd go out for my run at this time but I think I'll just sleep in today. Turning my electronics off for the night, I got ready for bed. Just as I was about to hop into bed, a knock came to my door. "Hey, you still awake?" It was Coco. I didn't say anything, but nod once. "I'm gonna go see my friend tomorrow. If you're free, you can come with." I'm streaming tomorrow, but at 8 pm. "If it's before 8 at night, them sure." The dragon grew a smile on her face, clapping her hands in happiness. "Okay! I'll let you know when we're leaving," she said excitedly, walking out the room afterwards. She never mentioned who this 'friend' was, so it'll be a new experience. Now, in my bed, I close up my eyes and simply wait. It took a while, but I managed to fall asleep, even if I wasn't exactly tired.

-Time Skip-
7 hours later...

I was woken up by the sound of my piano, they were play Fur Elise. Moving my head from where I laid to see who it was, of course it was Kanata. She's getting better, the improvements put a smile on my face. "Morning," I said, loud enough for her to hear. I sounded tired, of course. She was startled but immediately settled down. "Morning Sutōkā-chan." The girl also had a smile on her face, looking my way. Getting outta bed, the girl's gaze followed me. "You seem to be getting better. Probably better than me," that was a little joke, as proved by my tone. The angel chuckled as she scratched the back of her head. "I'm just practicing so..you and I could play together. But you're way better than I am, so you'll just have to bear with me." Walking over to the piano, I motion for her to continue playing. Taking the hint, she does. Kanata's not a bad pianist, but she still need some practice. She looked up at the sheet too much, but needs it to play the song. Though she presses the keys like an old woman texting. "Try hovering your fingers over the keys you'll use the most. You'll get used to it overtime," I suggested in a carefree tone. She tries this and already seems to getting the hang of it. Our bonding moment comes to an end when that dragon bursts into my room again. "Moorning! We're leaving a few minutes. You gotta stream in a few hours right? That's why." Saying all that in a few seconds sounds confusing, but I got it all down. "..okay." Yeah I've got to stream, but in the next twelve hours. Whatever, it's no problem. Coco leaves, and I get to the closet to strip. Once I'm out, I head to the bathroom. My toothbrush's always in there, so I obviously brush up too.

"You heard Coco," I said. "Gotta get going now. You can use my room if you want, tell Suisei that as well." I lay down the rules, which consisted of 'no rules'. I didn't mind anyone using my stuff, as long as they don't destroy it. "Okay! I'll let her know." The angel said in an upbeat tone of dialect. I give her a headpat before exiting my room, going all the way to the front gate.

Coco's already in her car, honking for me to get in. I took the initiative and walked around the front, getting into the passenger seat. "She lives with her family, just a heads-up." She shot me with that right when she drives off. A family, huh. It's not the worst thing in the world but it's none of my business. To pass the possibly long car ride, I took my phone out and just played some Piano Tiles. It's good for my fingers, but not for my eyes.

One Short Car Ride Later...

"We're here," she told me. I expected us to be there in what, 10 - 20 minutes. But no, the friend lives in Chūo as well. About a five minute walk from the house apparently. We both exited the car. The house itself looked sorta like our's, in terms of color. It certainly looked like a family house.
