Chapter 25: I Got A Medal, Now Everyone's Proud Of Me

I'm at home with Suisei, watching the news in the living room for the first time. The reason is because of what happened just a few hours ago. To summarize, the president of Japan, whose name is Shinzo Abe, gave me a Medal Of Honor for my actions today. I guess I did deserve it, but if I was able to get one so easily, anyone can get one as long as they do a really good deed. Now I'm just sounding selfish and or jealous. Looking at the Medal, it was a standard looking Medal. Then again, it felt deserving despite my rambling.
Suisei looked at me like I was the male 'mc' in a harem animal. A smile on her face as she gave me a headpat. "You did good, Sutōkā-chan," she said. "Well done.' A sigh came out of my mouth. Finally, after a few minutes, the clip played. Basically, the president handed me the Medal after giving his words. He looked like this, by the way.

"I thank you for your marvelous deeds today, for keeping your friend safe, as well as bringing the criminals to justice for their misdeeds," I repeated his words out look. My voice sounded annoyed. "I award you with this Medal Of Honor. I hope for you to continue God's work in protecting the peace, when you're able to of course." After a groan, I fall forward, diving into my bed. I was thinking of streaming later, but I was tired from everything that happened today. "Techno?" I call out loud quietly. "Want me to sub in?" He asked. "Yes please. Go till 4 if you want." I heard him snicker before continuing. "Oh I will." Those were the last words I heard before I felt myself drifting. Taking a look at my bandaged right hand, my eyes close and stay that way for a few hours.

Run's complete, so I went straight to HQ to see if anyone's in. Despite getting some sleep, I was still tired. If I had time, I'll go home and go back to sleep.
Upon stepping out of the elevator, I was greeted with the CEO. "Morning," I greeted with a yawn at the end. "Sutōkā." Suddenly, he got on his knees, praising me like a God or something. "Thank you so much for what you did yesterday," he cried. "Yeah yeah." My tone was slightly annoyed. "If there's anything I can do to repay you for protecting Shion, just tell me." "Firstly, get off the floor and continue what you were doing." He did exactly that. Continuing my way to the living room, I was again surprised by the sight of someone I knew. Upon entering, I was greeted with a person I've never seen here before, though I knew her. "Morning Rushia," I still greeted her. "H-hey, Sutōkā-chan." She's as cute as ev- what am I saying. "You need anything?" When I asked, she zoomed in front of me, grabbing my arm with a pleading look on her face.

I was now in Rushia'a house, on Rushia's couch, with Rushia's family. They all looked at me with smiles, except her brother - he had a smirk. Sutso seemed like he was impressed. Like he was my teacher, teaching me everything he knew about whatever. "What's what that look." I asked him after a full minute minute it being in display. "Me? Pfft- it's nothing," he's being awkward. Is this how guys act when around girls? "That's an obvious lie." I look down at Rushia, who was giving me a hug as I spoke. Well I'm not speaking, I'm narrating. "Rushia, I think you can stop now." Yaguchi, her dad, said. I thanked him internally, but I could have done that myself. "Did you really save your friend from thieves, Sutōkā-chan?" Her mom asked, probably for validation. "I thought that was obvious. But yes, I did," I gave a nod afterwards. Her face lit up like she was giving one billion dollars. "I can't believe Rushia's friends with a hero!" She then proceeded to smuther me like Rushia tried to do. I'll let it be known right now. Rin Uruha has a bountiful chest, and the experience I felt was extremely uncomfortable for me. Yes I was being embrace by breasts, but I'm a girl - a straight girl. I'm not like Matsuri that one time.

It took a while, but her husband eventually pulled her back. The parents left soon after, probably to talk about what just happened. Now it was me, Rushia and Sutso. Rushia continued hugging me after her mom left, and Sutso just laughed when she did. I would too. "How much longer Rushia?" I asked her. If I knew, then I'd know when I can get my freedom. "About 4 more hours, please!" I stood up, pushing her off and onto the floor. The laughing from the other side grew louder, showing more emotion as well. I wanted to join in, but that would he mean to Rushia, so I laughed internally. "So why did you bring me here," I asked. "There's more to it than this, so what?" Her jig was up. "I-I...I was hoping you and I could go o-" "Definitely not on a date, right?" I have to admit that I jumped a bit in fright due to the sudden voice from behind. I was sitting on the couch, and a figure slowly rose up from behind it. It was Suisei, back and with a creepier smile than ever. "Don't follow me or I'll call the police." I threatened her, though it didn't work. "W-why are you here Suisei?" The timid girl asked - she felt scared. "I was just making sure Sutōkā here wasn't doing what you're doing Rushia," her face went cold. Her eyes were plain and emotionless as she said "Don't do this again Rushia. I'd hate for something bad to happen to you." "Likewise," I said that. Pressing the 'end recording' button on my phone, I spoke up again. "Suisei, please don't do anything. Or I'll have to show this to the police," I held up my phone. "Aww. You're no fun." Those were her last words yet again, as she walked out the front door, a big red cross on her head. I chuckled as I watched her leave. Rushia on the other hand was the exact opposite - deeply scared. "Don't listen to her Rushia," I reassured the frightened girl. Sutso had stopped laughing when Suisei made her presence known. Now he was comforting his little sister, how nice. "Yeah, just listen to Stalker. She won't hurt you." Huh? I look at him, slightly confused. "Stalker? Since when?" He scratched the back of his head, laughing nervously. "Hehe. Coco told me she forgot to call you that, so now I have to." That dragon. I thought I was passed that! Whatever, it doesn't matter. It's still my name so I can't get mad about it. "So, what do I do now?" I was open to suggestions, so I asked out loud. Rushia put her hand up like she was in school. "Yes?" I point at her hand. "Let's go out and get some coffee." That's actually not a bad idea. "You coming Sutso?" "Sure, I could use some myself." So it's settled. We're gonna go get some coffee. It's been a while since I've drank some, but I'll just get my usual black coffee.
