I quickly headed across town for the bank. I walked in and was greeted by Lisa at the front desk.

"Hello Giana," she said with a fake smile.

"Hello, is Lucus in?" I asked, barely looking at her.

"He is in his office," she said with a frown. I turned and headed straight for his office. I knocked before poking my head in to find him with his head down in his hands.

"You look hungover," I said with a smile.

"That is because I am. You, however, look amazing," he said as he got up to give me a hug. "What are you doing here?"

"I need your discretion," I said as I sat down in one of the chairs.

"Of course," he said with a 'duh' look on his face.

"I just don't want Lisa to know about this before I have a chance to tell everyone else," I said as he handed me a cup of coffee.

"I understand," he said.

"I want to take out a loan to buy Mr.Tosoli's restaurant. I have sixty-five thousand left from Nonni's will, but I will need another sixty thousand to buy the place and fix it up," I said with a wide smile.

"Finally, the whole town has been waiting for you to open your own place for forever," he said as he started typing happily on his computer. "Okay let me run a credit check." I nodded and took a drink of my coffee to soothe my nerves.

"So what have you been up to lately?" I asked.

"Oh just playing in the band with Julian and partying with Chase," he said with a sly grin.

"You are the baddest accountant I know," I said, shaking my head at him.

"And don't you forget it," he said with a wink.

"I guess your days of partying with Chase are over. Did he tell you about Amelia?" I ask.

"Yeah, he called and asked if I knew how to get a baby to stop crying," he said with a roaring laugh.

"Wow, he must have been really desperate last night," I say with a chuckle.

"Oh yeah, he sounded like he was crying," he said.

"I'm sure he was. Hey, we are having a barbecue tomorrow, you are invited. You can come and meet Amelia," I tell him.

"Yeah I'll be there," he says, "Okay looks like I can have you approved for up to a hundred thousand. You sure you only want sixty?"

"Let's do seventy thousand, that way I have more wiggle room if something is broken," I say with a happy nod. I breathe in a happy sigh; I'm actually doing it.

"Okay then, let's sign some papers," he said with a smile almost as wide as mine.

Thirty minutes later, I was meeting with Mr.Tosoli to make an offer. He met me at the restaurant and accepted my offer immediately. I leaped up and hugged the man.

"You are going to do amazing things with this place," he said as he hugged me tightly

"I know I will. I have been dreaming of this for as long as I can remember. I'm ready," I say with a hopeful heart. "As much as I would love to stay and catch up, I have to get home to Ryan."

"Are you two an item now?" he asked.

"Yes we are," I said with a wild smile.

"Looks like life is working out really well for you dear. I'm happy for you," he said as he gave me another hug.

"We are having a barbecue tomorrow, please say you and Sally will come," I say as I grab my purse.

"Of course dear, we will be there," he says as he locks up the door and hands me the keys. "It is all yours."
