Hawks never wanted to disappoint you. He hated how it felt when he came short with the public.

But, with you, a strange sense of wanting to please you endlessly has crept into the bird's bones. Your eyes would flicker with such love and compassion whenever he opened up about his short comings.

Yet, the hero still found himself doubting your reassuring kisses and sweet nothings. As if he grew allergic to such things.

When he first started with you, his initial thoughts were stereotypical.

You'd stay for what he gave sexually and once you no longer felt that connection, you'd leave him with the idea that was once you.

But, that never happened. He waited and waited by the door to let you out and when you did leave, you came back with something new.

With that goofy little grin across your sunkissed face as you explained the history behind the product in hand.

Hawks couldn't stand it.

But Keigo swam in it. Drowning out any self conscious thoughts with memories of the months before.

The man didn't want to lose you.

He couldn't stand the sight of it, the thought of it.

Still he found himself stuck in this vicious endless cycle.

The craving for the love you allowed him to taste. The sweetness that was your touch and kisses.

Then the want to leave you. To protect what he still had.

And when you come through that door, with that classic beaming face of yours...

They melted into limitless 'i love you' and the desire to be your infinitely.

He isn't perfect, but maybe in your eyes he was.

And for a brief moment, he accepted it.
