Better Version (lmao huh?)

(Aizawa x reader)

Love was a difficult formula. You've figured it out before, having one of the most visually pleasing answers to life's daring question.

But, why was this different?

Your partner was lashing out about something along the lines of "that man".

You knew who he was talking about, but part of you couldn't wander down that road.

"I don't like the way you look at him or the way he looks at you."

You remain stoic, not giving him an inch of reassurance or displeasure in your voiceless response.

His tirade of complaints, curses and vulgarity didn't bother you anymore. He was angry and you didn't want him to be angry with you. Of course not.

But, times like these made you really think about your decisions. If this was the choice your willing to keep scribbled in.

Maybe there was a better answer elsewhere.

You shoo the thought away, disturbed and yet intrigued by that statement.

Elsewhere?

You could yourself slip into the rabbit hole as his voice succumbs to the silence of the world above.

Elsewhere. What a lovely thought.

"Aren't you gonna answer me?"

You blink the daze from our of your eyes to look at his expression.

Disappointed, enraged.

Jealousy?

He was... Jealous.

He felt threatened by your co-worker. A friend you've known since you were just starting out as a teacher in UA.

You couldn't blame him for feeling meek compared to him.

Shota was strong spirit, even though he spoke in few intervals. He made you feel good about yourself, constantly worshipping your skills on patrol, complimenting your intelligence and admiring the way you looked on special occasions.

He knew your struggles, the secrets that embedded itself into you. He knew the way you ticked better than anyone else.

So, why was this different?

Why couldn't it be your partner that saw you the way he did?

The thought caused you to be slightly upset, forcing you to step away from the situation.

"I don't know. I don't know." You rose your hand in surrender.

You didn't even here the question he asked, but a piece of you knew it was the "where do we go from here?"

That was the same question you asked yourself.

And it haunted you. What do you do from here? These new, primal feelings were starting to be difficult to contain, your partners eyes no longer held the key to your hearts and mind.

Because you changed your locks and gave them to some one new.

And you didn't plan on changing it back.

Yuh I liked this one a lot
